Archur woke up the next morning with a shiver as he felt Venice's absence. He sat up and looked over at Shira then went over and gently rested a hand on her shoulder, giving a light squeeze.

Venice slept comfortably but fitfully beneath Shade's neck, her sleep riddled with horrible nightmares about her killing Rome.

Shira looked up at Archur. She had small bags under her eyes, making it obvious that she hadn't slept that night." How are you feeling?"

Shade nuzzled Venice when he woke up, trying not to wake her.

"I think I should be asking you that," he smiled sadly and sat next to her, draping an arm over her shoulder and pulling her close.

Venice let out a terrified cry in her sleep and started pumping her legs as if she were running.

Shira blushed slightly and leaned against him." I'm fine. I couldn't sleep that's all." She looked up at him." You didn't awnser my question."

Shade curled around Venice more, trying to comfort her.

He sighed deeply and blushed as well, then gently rested his cheek against the top of her head, "I'm well... Or... As much as I can be..."

The tightening body of Shade around her forced Venice's small paws to stop pumping and it woke her with a quiet meep. She looked around, finding herself surrounded by luxray fur, then looked up at Shade and started crying.

Shira frowned. She wanted to say something comforting but she didn't know what. She took a small photo out of her pocket, the same one she had placed under her pillow. It was of her and her Kangashan, Shira barely reaching the Kangashan's waist.

Shade nuzzled her, trying to comfort her.

Archur looked at it, "That her?" he asked quietly.

Venice continued to cry, though it became quieter, <I-I... I liked him a lot too... I wish he told me...> she buried her face in Shade's fur.

Shira nodded. She looked away from the picture, blinking away the tears." I should probably go and get us something to eat."

<Maybe he was to scared to tell you.> Shade said gently.

Archur hugged her close, "I'll come with you..." he said quietly but don't let her go.

<But now... I-I see all that he's done... Everything he ever did now... It seems like he did it to make me happy... I was so oblivious before he told me... And now he's gone and now I see that he's done everything except tell me that...> she sobbed quietly.

"You should stay here and comfort your pokemon." She tilted her head so she could look at him." I don't want to take you away from you pokemon."

<You know....your friends never die. They always live in your heart. That's what Shira told me.>

"
Thy're all in their pokeballs," he pointed to his belt, "Except for Venice," he looked around for where the crying was coming from, "But she's with Shade..." he looked down, "How am I going to explain this to Nicholai? I can't just tell him his son is dead... I just can't..."

Venice shook her head,<Th-that's not the same!> she protested, <Rome... I remember... When I first joined the team... I would have nightmares every night about what had been happening to me before Archur caught me... And every night, he would come and lay down beside me... And hold me... And whenever I was sad... He always tried his hardest to cheer me up... He'll never be able to do that again... I'll never be able to repay him... I'll never be able to show him that I care about him too...> she started crying again.

Shira shifted so she was turned to him before hugging him." I'm sure you'll find a way." She said gently.

Shade curled around her. He didn't know how to help her since he never lost anyone close to him before.

He blushed deeply then returned the hug, wrapping his arms gently around her, "I hope so... Lord I hope so..."

<I wish... I wish I could hold him... And be with him one last time..." Shade's coat was wet down to his skin by now.

Shira pulled away. She rubbed her temple, the effects of her not sleeping taking it's toll. She shook her head and ignored the pain. She stood up, ignoring her slight wobble.

Shade didn't mind. He stayed curled around the smaller Pokemon.

Archur helped to steady her with a hand one her shoulder, "Stay here..." he offered, "Try and sleep, I'll get some food."

Venice eventually fell asleep against him again.

She looked at him." I'm fine." She walked over to her bag and picked it up.

Shade curled up around her.

"No. You need sleep," he said and guided her to the bed he had slept in and made her sit.
Venice remained asleep.

"Archur, I'm fine." Shira said even though her eyes drooped a little.

Archur shook his head, "You're a bad liar," he said then hesitated before leaning down and kissing her cheek, "Get some sleep."

Shira blushed." I-if you insist." She layed down and closed her eyes. She felt asleep almost instantly. A pokeball on her nightstand rattled.
