Archur blushed deeply, "B-bye Shira..." he said quietly and after she left, he flipped onto his back on the bed and looked over at Shade, "You wouldn't happen to have any ideas on how to tell Nicholai, do you big guy?"

Shade looked at Archur. He thought for a moment before shrugging.

Shira looked around once she was outside. She thought on when she could go.

Archur sighed and stood then walked over to the other bed and sat next to Shade, gently stroking his back.

Shade looked at Archur, surprised. He soon relaxed and let Archur pet him.

Archur smiled sadly at Shade and started petting his ears tenderly.

At least an hour later, people had gathered around a burning store. It was the same one that Shira and Venice had gone into. Some people were pulling out Shira, who had a few burn marks and was unconscious. She had protected Venice from the fire and any wounds. The scene could be seen from the room Archur and Shira had been sharing.

Archur had seen the smoke and looked scared. He immediately called Shock and Shade ini their pokeballs, threw Shira's team into his back pack and let out Nicholai.
The pair ran towards the fire and Archur was shocked to see Shira. He immediately picked up Venice and clutched her to his chest as Nicholai started trying to put out the fire.
"Sh-Shira?! What happened?!" he stood next to her with tears in his eyes, "A-are you okay?"

One of the men who had pulled her out checked her pulse." We have to get her medical attention." The man picked her up and took her to the Pokecenter, handing her over to the nurses. They took her into one of the back rooms and started to take care of her. No one was allowed to go and see Shira yet.

Archur ran after them with urgency, clutching the unconscious Venice to his chest as he ran forwards and into the pokemon center. He stood there, waiting impatiently.

After a few minutes, the nurse came up to Archur." Your friend is all right but she won't be waking up for a bit. I can take you to her if you want."

He nodded vigorously and followed the nurse into the room then looked at Shira sadly. He grabbed Shira's pokeballs from his bag and set them on the table next to her.

Shira was laying in the bed, an oxygen mask placed over her face. She had bandages around her arms, hiding the burn marks. Shock's pokeball rattled as if to say Shock wanted to come out.

Archur put his hand on the ball to stop it from shaking and then gently grabbed Shira's hands in his own, "I'm so sorry... I'm sorry this happened," he sniffled, "Thank you for protecting Venice..." he said quietly, "Please... Please don't die on me... Please don't make me lose another friend..."
Archur lightly kissed her forehead then left, leaving Shira's pokeballs on the table.

Later that day, Shira woke up. The nurse gave her a little medicine to dull the pain but made Shira keep her oxygen mask on. The nurse then went off to go find Archur to tell him the good news.

Archur was sitting on his bed in the room he had rented, Venice on his lap and Nicholai standing in front of him. Archur was crying and the tough, cyborg swampert was teary eyed as well.

The nurse knocked on the door." Your friend is awake and wants to see you if your up to it." She said gently.

He sniffed and nodded then returned Nicholai and Venice.
Archur walked down and into the room. He smiled sadly, tears still in his eyes, "Hi Shira..."

"Archur..." Her voice was muffled by the oxygen mask. She sat up even though she wasn't supposed to." Are you okay?" She said gently.

He shook his head, "One of my best friends died yesterday and my new friend almost died," he looked away and wiped his eyes, "Shira..." he sat next to her, "What happened?"

"I don't know. All I know there was a whole bunch of people screaming then burning beams falling around me and Venice." She touched his hand." I did everything I could to protect Venice. Is she alright?"
