He smiled and blushed then sat down on a bench and gently pulled her down with him. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder and rested his head on hers.
"Rome is being buried tomorrow..."

"I'll be there. Archur...I don't want you to suffer like this."

"Thanks for your concern Shira, but my entire team is suffering... My entire team lost an important person... Anubis and I lost a brother. Nicholai and Forli lost their son. Venice... Venice lost her love and Jacques lost someone who looked up to him."

"I wish I could take all of your and your teams pain away."

"Forget about it. It's not your fault or any of your teams fault. There's no way for you to help except to be here."

"And I will." She looked up at him.

He looked down at her, his smile no more than a slightly curved line on his lips. He leaned over and kissed her cheek, "Thank you."

Shira blushed and smiled." Anytime."

The teen pulled Shira closer, sitting silently on the bench with her, watching people and Pokemon walk by. He saw a quilava at one point but choked and looked away, tears in his eyes, which momentarily drew the trainer's attention but they quickly moved on.

Shira leaned against him. She started to doze off slightly, comfortable.

He watched her with a sense of growing affection and comfort. He allowed her to doze; she needed the rest.

Her eyes opened once and she stopped leaning on him." Sorry, didn't mean to use you a pillow."

"It's fine... It was cute," he kissed her scalp and pulled her closer. I was enjoying it.

Shira blushed. She leaned against him again." I don't see how supporting another person is enjoyable."

"Because you're warm... You're not very heavy," he said with a lighter tone, "It's weight, but it's a good weight... Because I know who it is and I know how much I care about them."

Shira's cheeks turned scarlet." That answers my question." She smiled.

He smiled at her, a real smile this time, and held her close.

Shira blushed more but just let him hold her." You don't have to answer now but.....where is this going?" She looked up at him.

"Wherever you want it to go..." he said softly, "I would love to be in a relationship with you but if you're not looking for that right now, I'm content to just hug you for as long as you'll let me."

"I've never been in a relationship before." She blushed.
