Archur gently squeezed Shira's hand as tears started flowing down his cheeks in silence. Nicholai started to cry for the first time and now even the ever-proud Jacques cried a little bit.
Venice leaned against Shade and Forli picked up Shock to cuddle him against her chest.

Shira reached out with her other hand and gently touched Nicholai's shoulder. Shade nuzzled Venice's head and Shock snuggled against Forli.

The swampert just stepped away and started to move towards a big tree.
Archur watched him then turned and hugged Shira Tight to his chest.

Forli finally set Shock down and walked over to Solar. She just stood quietly behind her.

Shira hugged him back.

Willow noticed the swampert had moved away. She stood up.

Solar didn't notice. She was too busy trying not to breakdown in tears.

Nicholai curled his massive hand into a fist and punched the tree, smashing it right off it's bad and sending it flying, making everyone turn and look.

<I know you think it's your fault,> she said from behind Solar, <It's not...>

Shira jumped and pulled away from Archur. She walked toward Nicholai.

Solar looked down.< It is. I sidestepped and he ran into the tree.>

"Wait! Shira! Just let him go... He needs to cool down..." Archur said quietly as Nicholai punched and destroyed another tree.

Forli looked over at her mate then turned back to Sooar, <But you didn't know he'd do that. It's not your fault.>

Shira looked at Nicholai before walking back over to Archur.

Shock watched Nicholai.

<I still shouldn't have sidestepped.> Solar started to tremble.

The cyborg swampert started making a beeline through the trees into the forest, smashing every one in front of him.
Archur reached out and wrapped his arms around Shira's waist, pulling her close.

<No, you shouldn't have side stepped, but it's not your fault.>

Shock followed Nicholai, making sure he was far enough away not to get injured.

Shira hugged him gently.

Solar sniffed and closed her eyes.

Eventually Nicholai stopped. By this time his thick, calloused knuckles were bruised and bleeding and he felt exhausted. There was no adrenaline rush to keep him going like in battle, there was just sadness and pain like nothing he had ever felt. He fell to his knees and leaned forwards, using his head to prop himself up against a tree.

Shock made sure Nicholai was done before walking in front of him and looking up at him. Shock watched him.

The massive water type was crying, big tears rolling down his cheeks and onto the ground, but he made no noise and didn't tell Shock to leave.

<It's not your fault,> Forli said again and walked away.

Shock watched him before getting up and touching the bigger pokemon's arms.

Solar just curled up into a ball.

Nicholai still didn't react. His eyes were shut and he was clearly trying to ignore the baby pokemon

<I miss him,> Venice whimpered and looked up at Shade, <I miss him so much.>

Shock frowned but didn't move.

Shade nuzzled her gently.< I know.>

Nicholai finally opened his eyes and sat down in front of Shock.

Venice buried her head in his mane and cried

Shock's ear twitched as he looked at Nicholai.

Shade wrapped his body around her, trying to comfort her.

<What do you want?> Nicholai wiped his eyes and sniffed.

Venice stopped after a while and then went to Rome's grave. She say in front of it, <I... I loved you too...>

Shock held up his arms as if saying he wanted to give Nicholai a hug.

Shade watched Venice.

Shira looked up at Archur." Do you want to stay a bit longer or head back?"
