The Blood Axes (played by Ozzyotter3001)

Good evening, (morning, night whatever it is for you.)

So I've come up with an idea for Velfhedi. It revolves around a woman of royalty or higher standing (It has to be a woman, sorry.) to have heard of the legendary works of a troubled blacksmith. No one knows what he's troubled by, but everyone knows that he is a wonder with a hammer and anvil. YC would be this lady wanting some specially made item. (Jewellery/Weapon/Armour/etc.) so YC makes their way to the cave that this man is told to live and work in. (Preferably with an escort, as he lives in some dangerous mountains.) Sure enough, he does. And YC enquires about what he can do. But during their negotiations, YC notices that he's not making eye contact, or even looking at YC very often. And he's only giving short answers. But they work out what YC wants, and he tells YC how long it will take and how much it will cost.

So, YC leaves, wondering about this man. He indeed seems troubled by something, but seems to relax once YC and her escort is gone. YC comes back to Velfhedi after the specified time, and is greeted with the item. He refuses to hand it over until he has his pay however. YC pays him, and then casually enquires about what's wrong. He dodges YC's questions and obviously wants YC gone.

Will you keep trying? Or will you leave?

YC doesn't have to keep trying of course, they can leave and come back later to get more things made, trying to learn about him during their brief encounters.

Info/requirements
So, medieval fantasy of course, as that's what Velfhedi is meant for.
There's only one requirement. Do not try and get me to write in third person. I don't mind what narrative perspective you write in (unless it's second, then we'll have a big problem) but as long as you don't bitch at me for writing in first person, then do whatever you like.
I know how effective short responses and one-liners can be. As long as I can work with it, it matters not how long or short replies are.

Thank you for reading and I look forward to any PMs!
