I am MemoryofaMelody, and if you didn't catch on, my username signifies two things that I love pretty much more than anything (other than writing) - music, and nostalgia. I cannot get enough of either! In terms of music, I tend to like sweet, gentle pieces, mostly performed with instruments such as the piano and violin. In this genre, I usually prefer there be no lyrics, but if there are, they have to either be of a woman harmonizing in the background, or the tone of the voice has to fit just right. (Ex. Nightcore.) I also enjoy country, rock, and alternative rock. I cannot stand rap, and a good portion of pop music!
I have been roleplaying for a good ten years now, meaning I have been writing both solo and cooperatively for half my life now. My favorite genres are fantasy, dark fantasy, romance, and... Not exactly slice of life, but no important moments are skipped, and the RP keeps on going and going. I sometimes do post-apocalyptic, but only if the world isn't a complete desolate wasteland.
Please note that while I love fantasy, as well as multiple different past eras, I have little knowledge in any of my interests! However, I am changing that by reading more, which I find to be quite wonderful and soothing.
I will not roleplay with anyone who is under the age of 18. While I rarely include mature themes into my RPs (most of which being violence), I have too much stress in my life to also be dealing with legal matters. In terms of "the preferred RP partner", I look for people who have great grammar, good spelling, and who are able to emotionally move and captivate me in the roleplay. Multi-paragraph responses are an absolute must, and they cannot be simple filler. Every feeling, every sound, every sight, every thought and piece of dialogue that can be expressed must be posted!
I will not roleplay with anyone until I get my characters set up. You'll have to be patient with me, since my creative moments are few and far between, and often do not last long.
I am on RPR daily. Also, I live in British Columbia, Canada, so hopefully this will help you figure out my timezone! (I cannot remember the name of it for the life of me right now.)
Oh, why did I leave this part until last? You can call me Melody, and I am 20 years old and a plain old cisgendered female, although I might be a demigirl. Also, I am a lesbian IRL, thus all my characters will be female, and will only pursue romantic and possibly sexual relationships with female partners. (In roleplays, of course!)
As for pronouns, I go by she/her, and I am considering going by they/them. I identify as human IRL, but as Fluttershykin on-line.
