Who are your oldest OCs? You know. The ones you probably made when you were twelve that you forgot about, or look back on in shame, or revamped into newer and better OCs.
My memory is fuzzy because I've been writing stories (not by any means well) since I could string words together, but I remember having a geokinetic fennec fox. Like, a small desert fox that could throw boulders with its mind. I laugh at myself for it but honestly that's tight as hell. God. Can you imagine participating in one of those chaotic 2009-era group roleplays and your lovingly-crafted character gets merked by a magic fox.
Anyways. Your oldest OCs. Tell me about 'em.

i'm kind of in the same boat because i've been writing stories since before i could actually read lmao. i just came up with stories, had my grandma write them down, and then i drew the photos for them. the only one i can remember is this story i came up with about a huge race. i was the main character and i won the race by throwing those cartoon bombs at people. exciting.
anyways i'm rambling and i got really into story writing when i was 10-11ish but the only OC worth mentioning from That Era is amelia. i made her sometime in 2012 and she was the main character in my vampire dystopian story.
i both made elliot and jasper around the same time in 2014, and then i actually made very first avery at the beginning of 2015. his name was pepper. and then i made avery as we know him in october 2015 but the only things he has in common with Modern Avery is smoking like a chimney and painting because october 2015 era avery was really rude, straight, and hated his parents.
i don't even know if this answered the question i just like talking about OC origin stories. thanks for coming to my TED talk

My oldest character has to be Cyrene Ark-hell, she wasn’t even a girl when I first created her. Originally, she was supposed to be for Naruto, as a seducer/ assassin who works primarily with the courts and nobles, an androgynous man with no qualms about anything at all but then I changed his age, then his appearance again-still using him in the Naruto-verse - then I expanded out, using him in Bleach and Ao no Exorcist then KHR and he suddenly became this moody, bitter teenager with a grave illness. After that, I role played him in various forums and he became a middle aged man with issues and enough bitterness to fill a sea...then I wanted a gender bent version of him when I found this forum and has since stuck with it. XDD
My oldest is Raptors, not only is he my oldest but he's also my very first OC ever
Most members in the Last Stand Guardians are relatively old like Oblivion and Red Rouge

My oldest OC was an ice staking Norwegian named Erik. He was a platinum blond who was extremely introverted and shy everywhere outside of the ice rink.
But in terms of in-verse age, Raptors is still one of my oldest heroes, but he's far from the oldest character or being
The Dark Balancer is arguably the multiverse' most dangerous being to be created and was around since the universe was created and was around for roughly 13-14 billion years
But even the Celestial, creator of the multiverse, and Never Darkness, devourer of universes, have been around for over 6 trillion years

Oldest is Koekje who I created when I was around 4 and half (1997). Second oldest is Shindun who I created when I was 7 and half (2000). Then, in the following three years, Karina, Shãnôn and Sakinna.
Oh god, this thread is taking my mind to some dark places when I was fourteen.
*shudders*
The first ever character I believe I created was basically a ripoff of Megaman X back in 2013. The whole shtick was that he was an android with feelings but would be forced to fight in an endless war against tangents, which I first defined as corrupted machines and whatnot. Eventually, this would evolve into an RP over phone texts, in which my friend and I would do whenever we had time, and that kickstarted my whole journey into world building hell that, over the course of five years, has turned into six main arcs with multiple campaigns and side story things and a huge HUGE list that has approximately +130 individual unique characters each with their own backgrounds and personalities.
I have no life. I am aware of this.

Ok so, my odlest Oc's are a pair of twins named Bullet and Spike. I madeb oth when I was like five or six, I dont remember precisely how old I was. Bullet came first and was based off a squirrel from an episode of the original power puff girls. He eventually became, basicall Gohan, but with a lizard tail instead of a monkey tail, and instead of becomin a giant monkey on a full moon, he turned into a giant dinosaur. Of course said dinosaur was basically a dinosaur from a Scooby-Doo cartoon cause I thought it looked cool.
Eventually after that I made Spike. At this point Bullet and spike became cats. Then they became weird rabbit fish things based off Yin and Yang from Yin Yang Yo. I think that was one of the last incarnations of them I made, before I hit my sonic phase. I revamped them at some point as a pair of hedgehogs that were the kids of my main two oc's, and they've kinda stuck like that for a while as those two main oc's changed. By now they're the 1 fourth human/3 fourths alien hybrids that are the children of my OC's Jackie and Feral through some fancy scifi genetics stuff.
After those two, the oldest oc I think I still have is my Persona. The earliest version of them I can remember is of him as a Chimchar. He was basically me and named Jake. Eventually he evolved into a really fast Spring hair who was the kid of Bugs Bunny. Then when my sonic phase hit he was the pretty basic recolor of shadow, only he was part godzilla. Cause reasons. After that he became the main character for a really old incarnation of my main story project, BoB. As of now, hes become my new weird nuclear ferret monster persona, Irradiated Imp.
So. There's my oldest oc's for those interested.

Let's see here...
I think my oldest RP character is Kyra, who I have an overhauled version of here. Her race needs another overhaul when I get to it.
Prior to that, there was my persona that eventually evolved into Novalyyn (the character) from back when I was first exposed to haphazard RP.
But I was writing before that. The first I can solidly remember was for a story I wrote in 3rd grade, as a school assignment. I had I think 3 characters, all based on some toy ponies I had (I was unfamiliar with the show, so I invented personalities and just used the appearance of 2 of them). Uh, it was a story about how becoming friends helped them all achieve the goals they'd been working at. I was the only person in the class who had anything resembling a plot.
Before that, it depends on if you count coming up with personas for toys. Probably not, since I think they changed every time.

Kaze the Wind Demon was my first. She had stolen the WIND COIN from her father who was mad and didn't want to give it to her because she was a girl. She took it anyway and she was trying to get away to look for a bunch of other girls who would have these power coins passed down from their families and she wanted to give them to all GIRLS because of girl power. She was totally flat and one dimensional and of all my characters I never revived her even once.
Mishigu is my oldest who has stuck around. She was a kitsune who was in love with Sesshomaru and he abused her terribly. He was role played by an abusive ex and I continued to play her. She's evolved a lot since then, but she is still a shape changer, though no longer a kitsune. She is played in the multi-verse setting I have with my partner so she changes all the time for setting, but she is overall a pretty quiet girl who is insecure, but can take charge. I love playing her still, even if she gets less air time, as it were.

My oldest OC is actually still here on RPR
Meet Phoenixheart (or as I like to call her, Phoe), my oldest and most developed oc. She had actually started off as a persona of mine on a comic-making site (I was--and possibly still am--obsessed with phoenixes, okay? ) though she had slowly developed into her own character as I went along. It got to the point where I had actually changed my persona on that site once I came onto here and made her an official character. From there, she slowly went through many changes as I got her into more rps, most specifically one rp that my boyfriend and I started when we first met. That rp is still going, actually.

This girlie is my oldest character in terms of how many years she's existed. She has evolved alongside my own personality. You know that one character that you have as a little kid in all the early writing attempts, the character who is pretty much supposed to be you, but better? This was her for me. I have had Ayura since I was perhaps 8 years old, and I'm 20 now.
However, as the years have gone by, she's changed much, just as I have, and we've grown together. She's gone through a couple of name changes, first off, and also it was a strange thing to watch our personalities begin to diverge the more I began to work on her character. My skill as a writer developed, my awareness of the human psyche deepened, and my characters grew more and more complex and came to a life of their own. Although her and I are still similar in many ways, she is no longer intended to be just a self-insert. She is her own character with a mind and life of her own.
Kazuné is my second oldest character, originally intended to be Ayu's shipmate, and conceived not too long after her. Unlike Ayura, he actually was a very flat character for many years. In my several attempts over the years to give Kazuné some proper characterization, he actually developed three distinct and separate identities, each similar yet with different values and other traits. Eventually I ended up splitting him up into triplets, and from him came my other two characters Isandor and Sakui.
Kazuné as himself actually remained a flat character until about a year and a half ago when I gave him a serious revamp, making him over almost completely into what he is today. I arguably love working with him and his 'brothers' in RP more than I love working with Ayura.

I, Halasian, was discovered in a Middle Earth RP based in the decades before the War of the Ring called 'Shadow Over Arnor'. When the various RP writers started fading out or disappearing from the tale, my story continued and it and closed out the RP. As things would have it, I was a bit too rough for the moderators of the 'family-friendly' Tolkien sites, so after my writer got banned from the site where the RP tale was written, I faded into the shadows. But of my three children, my second born son Hanasian made quite a name for himself. His tale has been told in several RP and story fan-fiction writings, and is the preferred name the writer of us uses across the webs for some time now.
Iskra has been through my edgy 8th grade years, all the way until now, and she's been through MANY changes since I first designed her. She's the only standing OC I have from back then; I was much more fond of roleplaying canon characters before I got comfortable actually designing my own.
1st run, Iskra was a modern day secretary, and mercenary- she was shy, anxious and stuttered a lot. Her hair was naturally silver but she dyed it black and displayed burn scars across her palms from the man who employed her, and was very petite and fragile.
2nd time was when I first designed her as a medieval character, and is much closer to her current design than she was before. Still very petite, black hair and red eyes, and not at all a warrior type. Johann, her lover, was first introduced her, and together they were bandits; Iskra was more gentle and was an archer and healer, very meek and anxious, and very submissive to her bandit husband. She only wanted to please the man, but later fell in love with a Lord and was caught running around with him by Johann, who attacked her. She would later kill her love Johann on the battlefield, crying over his body and burying him. She turned into a sort of vigilante Knight, eventually marrying the Lord who saved her from Johann and giving birth to three children- Jason, Alani and Cecil. This concept was trashed but ended up spurring the redesigns for Katja, Jason and "Cecil" who became Cedric. This concept does come through though a lot in her backstory, save for the Lord she married- he was abandoned altogether.
3rd time around is current Iskra, all silver hair and powerful legs and angry. She's the culmination of years of RP and is my absolute pride and joy, in all reality.

Similar to the rest of you, I've been making up stories since I was little - probably even before I could read. But I didn't actually start officially making original characters until freshmen year of high school, when I realized I didn't just want to tell stories about existing characters. Or, y'know, the self-inserts and fan-characters I made for my favorite games.
It's a toss-up though; I can't remember whether my oldest kids are Tapps and Lana or Forta, Verity, and Amity. The first two started out as very anime, complete with magical girl transformations for Lana and mysterious 'could have been the villain' edgy riddles and time powers from Tapps. They have both come such a long way and I love them so much; I've even looped back towards certain tropes in their stories as nods to the genres that inspired them. But now they're so much more flawed and I think they're richer characters for it (even if it makes it hard to write Lana, for me, since I no longer agree with her mentality like I did when I was younger).
Forta, Verity, and Amity are the source of my first username (and most variants), and had that Sonic the Hedgehog energy, but more like from Adventure and the comics. They were a bounty-hunting trio of anthros with special gadgets, guns, and powers in a world full of similarly outfitted animals and for some reason there were elves but no humans? I really haven't done much with them except to revamp/solidify certain character traits, since I like their dynamic but don't know how to actually start off the story or finish it. Forta is a big, adorable (but doofy) Samoyed-mix with ice powers and a snowball blaster that had different modes to help stop bad guys in their tracks. Verity is a blue fox-creature I made during my version of the sparkle-dog phase, with a bit of an icy personality but a deep-seated rage and strong maternal instinct. She had a laser-cannon/star bazooka and commando training and tiny little vestigial wings for whatever reason. Amity is some weirdo cat/bat thing that now reminds me a little bit of FFAT's moogles, which is funny since I had not seen them at that point in my life. Amity's the heiress to a noble clan of ninja(?) and kinda ran away from home since she didn't want to be; she has flight ability, is short, fast, and angry, and pretty handy with her claws and throwing knives.
Hm.... actually now that I think of it - Riv might be my oldest. Riv started off as a sterotypical 'anime chosen one' shapeshifter, complete with demon mode and cool fighting team and girlfriend who sometimes needed rescued 'cuz she's too headstrong. Now he's certainly more of a tragic character, as he's trying his best to fulfill his obligations to his family and friends (and maybe even learning that he's allowed to be selfish sometimes), in a world that's really designed to knock him down. His friends are still cool, he loves them dearly (even his rival, who hates his guts), and his girlfriend (mostly platonic now) is way cooler than him and kinda OP as hell. Honestly, though, Riv's also pretty OP and I love it, since there are plenty of other people who are stronger and scarier.

My first OC that I roleplayed in any community was a guardian angel that hit her ward with an electric flyswatter.
My oldest OCs are ones that I don't even have profiles for here on RPR. It's a little regrettable in some sense, but I would really love to be able to redesign them to where I'm comfortable with them design-wise before I get their own profiles at some point.
My first original setting OC is a woman named Shiay -- which, incidentally, used to be my username for a long time before I started going by FreeJayFly. I wanted to separate myself from this because I wanted Shiay to be her own character and not something of a self-insert since -- while I do impart a lot of myself into my creations, I don't feel like I AM my creations in that sense.
Shiay was inspired by a lot of anime I watched originally, and used to have this kinda Magic Knight Rayearth armour-up sequence before I decided to just streamline a lot of the abilities and bring her and a lot of the other characters I created to a project where specific people with resonant souls to certain crystals would gain shards of those crystals that would enhance their already innate abilities. So now there's no real armour-up -- it's more of a, "these are my abilities, and thanks to this, they are stronger... which I have to learn how to control and get used to."
Other than her... my first actual character was a Sailor Moon OC named May Richie that I have now remade into her own thing! Instead of being this 'fantastic' Sailor Earth (since that's Mamoru / Damien's role anyways), she's just an avid cosplayer who is in a more modern setting and has devoted a lot of her times and efforts into special effects, makeup, and tailoring for her own pleasure and satisfaction. :'D
I don't have a profile up for her yet, either... but... I did redraw her within the year dressed up in my idealised 'Sailor Earth' sailor senshi outfit. :'D;

Mine was a feral and/or anthro-depending-on-my-mood red fox named Foxy, because I was great. Also six.
Then there's Jitter, a four-armed alien-bug...thing that I kind of poke for a revamp every six years or so, who's basically played every part I could think of while I grew up. If there were monsters to fight or silliness to ensue, he was probably there and desperately wishing he wasn't.
Also I have a visual for him.
That top corner has him in a Peter Pan outfit, a Three Amigos! one, and a SNL Killer Bees one. I’d make stop motion videos of him baking cakes and blowing them up. He’d go on interstellar adventures in my margins. Sky’s the limit for the little guy, evidently!
Ignore the random Gandhi. I was thirteen and thought my art was boss.

My first OC was Anuto (It's a horrible name I know.) He was just A random character I made to roleplay with two strangers, I remember him being overpowered as hell and Really edgy, but over time I got to know the character better and changed a few things about him. He was a gorgon assassin when I first used him to roleplay, now when I use him to roleplay I use him as a mix between a ranger/paladin who calls on the forces of gods and nature for guidance.
I still have a lot of fun when I roleplay as him, he has become one my most beloved characters and without him, I would have never gotten in to roleplaying.
