Hey guys!

Just leaving a note here to let you all know I'll be taking a 2 week vacation from moderating the site. I'll be around and available for roleplayerly shenanigans, but my fellow moderators Darth_Angelus, SeraphicStar, Copper_Dragon, Loki and of course Kim will be the ones to take care of any issues needing attention!

Before anyone worries, I just need some time to focus on life outside of RPR. My pretty kitty Dette had a surgery last Wednesday, and today she tore out her stitches and had to be rushed to the vet's again to fix that up before things got really bad. That made me decide to focus on nursing her back to full health and take care of other things without having to worry about doing my duties on here as well. I'll return to full duty on the 15th and will be available full time again!

Her cone of shame is tied to her medical pet shirt with a safety pin. She wiggled her way out of the shirt before, but now there's no way she can repeat this acrobatic stunt anymore! I also think she hates me now...

She got spayed, but my vet's standard procedure is to remove everything - ovaries and uterus - to prevent uterus infections/cancer in the future. It's a bit of a heavier procedure so she needs to stay as docile as possible. She was wearing a medical pet shirt (still is), but managed to wiggle out of that one. She absolutely hates the stitches and tore them out, all the way to the muscle layer. If she'd torn those in the muscles out too, she'd probably not have made it. Really scared me a lot!

So now she has a cone as well. When I can keep an eye on her she doesn't have to wear the cone, but the moment I have to leave her out of my sight the cone goes on. She's also sleeping in the carrier next to my bed so I can check on her immediately if I hear something.

I probably won't be sleeping much for at least a week. After that the wound should have closed up enough to make any stitch removal non life threatening.

It's her "I'm not fully awake yet but I am plotting your demise!" look after the anesthesia. She hasn't worn the cone since yesterday as she's been good about staying in her little shirt, so I think she's feeling better already!

My hiatus is officially over. Dette's doing very well and has been doing her usual shenanigans with Minke!

Yaaaay, Sanne is back on duty and her kitties are all healthy again! Criminals beware!

*installs machine guns and bazookas on the kitties' harnesses*
