Jinxy pointed out that for her group which I forgot the name of, the title overlapped the banner. Is there anyway that we can have a function to delete the group name? My banner has the title right on it and there is no good way to place the title, even if we didn't have the name on the RoseCrest's banner.

This keeps getting asked for, but I keep having to say no -- I realize that it puts a crimp in your style, but from a usability and community standpoint, some things need to say standardized so that they do not get abused.

Think of it sort of like the facebook banner -- they let you pick an image to highlight your personality, but if they let you put any arbitrary name that wasn't the name of your account on top of it, things would get confusing really fast. You wouldn't always be sure who to associate posts with, etc.

I need to be able to display the exact name of a group, in a way that can be copied/pasted by members and recognized elsewhere on the site, and in a way that can be picked up by search engines for people looking for you later (assuming you aren't top secret). There are just too many reasons someone would need to see what group they are in, and too many ways allowing the group name to be deleted and replaced can be abused. =/

I would really encourage you to find a way to incorporate the text onto the banner, which is what the current group layout is designed for!
