This is a fairly thin concept right now so I'm looking to judge the interest in this topic.
In this land there are thousands and thousands of miles of hinterlands filled with misty mountains and dark forests that choke out the sunlight. Small villages full of frightened and suspicious people connected by narrow haunted roads which stretch on for lonely miles. Rumors spread of plagues and cannibal tribes and witches and ancient spirits which are hateful and hungry.

I have a few ideas for main quests but I just wanted to see if people are interested

I love the world so far! There's nothing better than a creepy location where almost anything could happen. Depending on main plot I have an assortment of characters that could fit in here, between fae and monsters that could be inhabitants of this mysterious forest (like Avalynn or Vance) to reckless bandits and theives (Iskra or Adriano), and plenty of others.

Spooky! Kekoa or Enri would be loads of fun to put through the wringer, but so could Raed or Duran. What do you think?

I think that my Paladin might well be appropriate for this.

I looked at all of your characters and I can't really say for sure which ones will work best. I think it comes down to what you choose, but keep the mood/setting of the RP in mind. It really all comes down to how you use them I guess.
If you really really want me to help you choose, I'll do that, but choose whoever you think works best because I'm sure you know your characters better than I do.

Sweet! What ideas did you have for main quests? That'll help me narrow down who to go with, I think.

I have several ideas. Here are a few ideas for main quests, but I have several other ideas that are more environmental/random encounter type things that I don't want to give away (subject to change):

The party must investigate rumors of an otherworldly rift deep into the woods that is causing disturbances in the mortal plane.

The party must guard a caravan of ill civilians along the road to the only town with a cure for the plague.

A town on the frigid northern coast has not contacted any other settlements in many weeks. The party must investigate and put an end to whatever caused this.

I think I’m going to use Adriano- normally he’d be hired help, but most of these plots are something that’d hit home with him and motivate him to act beyond his own greed or ambitions

I'll go with this guy, then. He'd want to assist to the best of his ability in all those plots, since he knows his healing abilities would be of use.

How bout an anti-evil character?

Isn't anti-evil... just a good guy?

not exactly.....an anti-evil character could become seen as a bad guy if he's too chaotic

Well this certainly sounds intriguing! I may be interested. I think my character should fit in alright!

Wow, thanks for the interest everyone. I would like to stress that the one rule I'm picky about is your writing, which is going to be expected to be high quality and at least 5-8 sentences long. If you don't think you can be held to a high standard of writing then I'm gonna say this RP isn't for you. If you're concerned about this please DM me. I might DM some people as well to sort some stuff out.

New to the site and just got my first character up. Was flicking through the roleplays and came across yours, which I think would be a perfect setting for my Warlock.

Is there still space or is the story to far along to be introducing new characters at this point?
