Alain Durand (played by Freyya)

Alain's helmet also adapted the room's lighting so he didn't have any trouble with the flashbang. Much like the droid, he now had targets for the picking, taking those out who weren't in the droid's line of fire. One of the creature's recovered qooner than anticipated, and leaped at Alain. The specialist, who's mag had just run out, quickly switched in his rifle for his pistol and shot only once. He stepped aside to let the creature - who had aimed to jump for his neck - simply fly past him. It was dead before it hit the ground.
Caution (played by Minajerie)

Cursing as she had caught the warning for the grenade a little late, the light from the grenade making spots dance before her eyes. She had no problem keeping her feet from the bang though, it was just far away enough that it was only a force that shifted her a bit. Of course, her claws helped a bit too.

Blinking to try and get her vision back she lowered the gun- no use shooting at anything, she might hit a friendly- and that was never very good during a first impression.

She backed up slowly, away from where the enemy had been before the flash-bang. Her head done as she waited for her vision to clear. It didn't take super long, but it would have been long enough for any of those uglies to get up in her face. Luckily, none did. Perhaps they finally got the idea that they were more trouble than they were worth... Maybe.
Belial (played by Minajerie)

Scoffing at the notion of GE-NEX being better than her own two hands. The human company was slipshod at best. Their designs just not very efficient, even the battle droids were terrible. BB made a tsking sound as she looked over the exposed wires on his shoulder(it was built in the standard male figure for battle droids therefore a he). A couple of which were freyed wires to his power core. The type 2(which was evident once she got closer to it) was on by pure luck. If any of the creatures had managed to knock loose one of these wires this guy would go down like a light.

BB placed a tool in her mouth as she repaired the bot's wiring and shoulder joint. taking it out for a moment to use it on a few parts she replied to the bot. "Pirates, eh? Explains the creatures. Probably took down a few human vessels before attacking something above its tech range. OW!" She recieved a shock from his battery core. It wasn't enough to cause more than a moment of pain, but it was definitely a wake up call. Not that she was sleepy.

"You need a full overhaul. It looks like a lot of your processors are rust covered, even more are covered or clogged with dust... But you will work for the time being." With a few more tweeks she might have even got a few of his functions back online- but she couldn't be sure.

With a pat to the bot's shoulder she slid over to the cyborg. "Hello miss. Looks like your tech is giving you some trouble. What happened?" Knowing what happened would give her a better idea as to what might have gone wrong in her make-up. But until she got the details she looked the woman over, searching for anything obvious.
Petra Strolark (played by PenGryphon2007) Topic Starter

Petra fired where she could, helping as the creatures descended on them in a wave. If only her arm wasn't out of commission! She could have shown them what she was really capable of. Ah well, she shot down one of the aliens before it could fully attack Alain--though he had himself covered it seemed.

Then before too long, Belial was beside her, asking about her systems. "Circuits were overloaded and the fuses blown." She shifted to give a better look to the mechanical arm which would unfortunately need some patching before it was battle-worthy--it wouldn't take too much time, just a sheet of metal and screws or something.

Her eye was starting to come back online, at least, which was something. "If you can find the yellow wire that runs from my elbow to the shoulder, unplug it and then plug it back in, that'll help with most of my systems. And then do the same for my leg." It was worth a shot and while the mechanical arm was out of commission, it would at least help with the leg. The yellow wire would be easy enough to spot--given the others were black or grey and a few of them red.

Meanwhile, given the savageness of these interlopers onboard the humanoid's ship, the aliens were deciding it was probably wiser to flee than to keep on coming. Another high pitched scream-signal went out and aside from a few lingering humanoids that would more than likely get killed on the retreat, the rest of them fled back whence they came...leaving an echoing silence where there had previously been gunfire.
GE-NEX Carolus 2 (played by Pirate)

It was true, GE-NEX lost its leadership in the Droid market years ago. They simply couldn't keep up with the rapid evolution of the technology, and thus most Droids were seen as out dated. The Carolus 2 models were pretty much the bullet through the head. These were pretty good Droids, but their steep price and constant need for updating kept people distant.

"This unit apologizes for any discomfort, and thanks you for the repairs. Consider applying for a job at GE-NEX, the men and women who built the future." Of course, it was just programmed to say that. It kept firing at any ugly until they fled the scene. Carolus lowered its gun."Threat has been dealt with. Please identify yourselves, and specify a new commander for this unit." It spoke as it turned around, its eyes scanning over each person inside.
Alain Durand (played by Freyya)

Alain stopped shooting as soon as the last creature fell dead to the ground. He clasped his gun on his back and took of his helmet, revealing a once-handsome but now rough and battle worn face for the others to see. He had a scar running across his lower cheek, and brown army cut style hair. A light stubble had formed on his chin and jaw, it had been a while since he could last shave. He thought for a second and thought he might as well say who he was, since this droid was obviously programmed to engage possible threats.
"Captain Alain Durand. Specialist for the United earth nations." he introduced himself. he took the pistol from his belt and reloaded it with new ammo before he cleaned it and put it back where it belonged.
Belial (played by Minajerie)

BB looked up as what seemed to be the only living male spoke an introduction. A Captain eh? Good for him. She set to work on the 'borgs arm- what did she say was needed? To reboot her systems with the yellow chord. She let out a small chuff of mirth. Humans and their need to reboot their technology to make it work. Spirits forbid they need to do such a thing in the middle of a star jump. That could get messy.

Making sure she linked herself first to the 'borg so she didn't get shocked- something she had not done with the drone simply because she was in too much of a hurry. With a vague wave in the direction of the others she decided to go ahead and introduce herself as well. "Belial Bellarue, Interstellar Mechanic, at your service. Friends call me BB, its less of a mouthfull."

Quickly re-initializing the 'borgs systems, BB double checked of any further damage, noticing that as far as the human tech went, it was working to its peramaters. With a sigh she eyed the exposed bit of tech and then that of the droid's as well. She then snapped a few times in the direction of her cousin impatiantly. She needed some of the salvaged scrap Caution had left in the hall.
Caution (played by Minajerie)

Staying quiet and servaying the area as the creatures left was not nearly as difficult as some of her siblings thought it would be. Her being quiet that is... And perhaps staying put instead of following after those beasts for a bit of a nibble. With a huff she put her weapons away.

Her attention was grabbed by introductions, and then her cousin's snapping fingers in her direction. "Alright, alright, I'm getting it."

Moving back into the hallway she used her flashlight eyes to find the satchel of scrap they had previously rounded up. Ah, there it is. Reaching out one of her larger arms for it, she lifted the thing and made it back to BB's side, dropping the bag far more gently than she did during the fight. "Here you are, dear cousin." She looked up and did a nod of her head in greating to the others. "I don't particularly like my real name, so you can call me Caution. And just to make things clear, me and BB are indirectly related- but that still makes us cousins. At least in my eyes." Punctuating the end of her words with a toothy grin.
Petra Strolark (played by PenGryphon2007) Topic Starter

"I'm Petra Strolark, former 1st Lieutenant, of the vessel Asterisk." The vessel was long since gone--a bomb had blown it up along with half of Petra's ide. "I do salvage work now, or recon, mostly on my own."

She eyed the droid, her cyborg eye officially online again. "So you need someone to give you orders?" She patted her cyborg arm which was starting to reset and felt the leg responding as well. Good, she wouldn't have to drag a good 50-75 pounds of dead weight.

"What brought all of you to this ship wreck anyway? As far as I could tell, it's just a heap of scrap metal." Although apparently the aliens they'd just fought off suggested otherwise.
GE-NEX Carolus 2 (played by Pirate)

((I'll leave the bold text out from now on. If there's a lot of dialogue it might get obnoxious))

"Files have been made and found. Saving them to the database." The Droid stood still for the remainder of the much needed repairs that were needed."Data shows there is a heavy military presence on this pirate ship. Recent scans show little value on board."

Carolus' head spun around a few times."Alert. Hostiles still on board. This unit suggests you proceed with caution. Searching data on alien species... Error, no connection to GE-NEX database found. Please re-install all corrupted software for improved efficiency."
