Long, long ago, legends told of a kingdom of ice, and snow, elaborate crystal towers and glittering roads. Its inhabitants were human, but their talents were beyond the realms of humanity; gifted with magic as cold as the winter, they lead a peaceful existence, until one day, they vanished.

Ages pass, and soon a stranger is glimpsed having come from the mountains. A young man, clad in a heavy fur wrap and cloak, with long white hair and vibrant aqua eyes that seem to shine in the light. With word spreading, local lords and even kings grow wary of the news. His appearance would normally not attract attention- plenty of strange men appear from time to time, but this one, with a crown of frozen crystals around his head and footfalls that leave ice in his wake, is different.

At the base of the mountain, far past the frozen tundras, a tavern sits. The man sits quietly inside, holding a cup of cider that was once hot, now chilled between his thin fingers. He gazes out the foggy window, thoughts occupied with his missing memories, awaiting the arrival of the help he’s hired. Completely unaware that a bounty has been placed for his capture alive, the man sips his cider. Waiting.

Forgive me for the missing character profile! He’s in the works, but the plot happened to fall into my mind and I was actually really excited by this idea! I suppose the less you all know about him, the better though. His profile will be up by tomorrow, I’m currently getting ready for work so It’s going to be a minute.

Looking for a few different roles to fill; the hired help, possible bounty hunters, knights. Even perhaps bystanders who happen to get dragged into the mess. This plot will involve the party who joins this mystery man in his quest, and those on the hunt for him. Make sure you mention who’s side you’d be interested in filling if this is the case!

I'm interested in joining as the hired help for this RP. If this guy doesn't work, I have a few others who might.

Switching sides is absolutely a okay and will make the plot all the more interesting. I’ve got big, interesting plans for this one.

I have these two who would fit perfectly within a wintry setting! I can't quite decide yet which one I'd like to play (maybe even both on opposite sides, if possible?), but Haven would likely be hired help.

I think I'll play both and have Wevendyr be one of the bounty hunters, then. He could be traveling with Duran, if Forta-ver is okay with that!

I'm absolutely down for that! Though I plan to have Duran working at the behest of his bandit clan, so he'll have a few of them with him. As long as Wevendyr doesn't overtly threaten them (and can handle some jabs about his "knightliness") they'll probably get along swimmingly.

Or, well, as swimmingly as any band of criminals can get along with a near stranger.

I was, in the description for the setting it seemed magic was not very prevalent anymore if at all. Mortie is primarily a magic user (and storyteller) so if his abilities would be odd for the time in the setting then I understand. I am happy to create a new character for this, I'm just newer to the site and figuratively spreading my wings.

Oh! I’m sorry haha, didn’t mean to make it seem as if Magic wasn’t prevalent- simply this community, and mostly for this setting magic is relevant but it’s regarded with distrust, especially for more traditional leaders.

I think Mortimer would be a fantastic fit! Perhaps he could overheat Kazimir talking with his hired help about the journey and join in? There’s certainly lots of knowledge to be found
