Muse A is a little kid who’s had a rough life during the day. Some neglect and abuse to a life they don't like at all. The nighttime is nothing compared to the day, at night, physical monsters come to scare - but never harm - the kid. She’s gotten used to them, scared some, and never gets a good rest either way.
Muse B is the Monarch of Monster America, part of an inter-dimensional slip of Earth (Think Medieval/Victorian Monsters Inc. Instead of electricity, they make magic) All the reports for a particular child have been odd. Some monsters have themselves been scared or even attacked. Monarch B heads out from the portal and looks for Muse A
Muse A looked scared, but it wasn’t for the Monster Monarch, no, it was the Guardian of the child that causes terror. After Realizing the truth of the fear, The Monarch chooses to fight for the sake of the child, offering themself as the new guardian, offering to take the child to Monster America, where the two will be safe and protected from real evils.

A peaceful setting, but with a chance for small fights and struggles to break out on a very small scale.

I've been considering offering forth one of my characters for this scenario, but a couple of things have made me hesitate. I'm low on RPs at the moment though, so I figured I'd just come out and ask just in case:
1) You refer to Muse A as 'she'. Are you looking for a female character, or is any gender fine?
2) Does the child have to be human? I have a lot of kid OCs, but only one of them is out-and-out human. And whilst others have human forms, I prefer their non-human varieties. Some of them can be portrayed as mutant humans though, which could tie in to the background of the prompt if that's fine.
As for the characters I've been considering... if both of those questions have an answer that suits them... Kiro (I could age him down a little if 12 is a bit too old) is one option I've been thinking of. Another is Deril (I'd prefer to use his naga form if that's allowed because I find it more interesting, but if that's too inhuman, I can fall back to his normal form. Also, Deril would be a little less street-smart and rogue-ish than his profile suggests because in this scenario he wouldn't have run away from home).

Ah, I forgotten to use They/Them pronouns, Either gendered muse is fine. I don't mind if your muse is non human, I can make do. ^^

Would you prefer I use Kiro or naga Deril?
In both cases, I'd rather their initial parents/guardians be human (because that's what they are generally for those two characters anyway... Kiro is generally a mutant whilst Deril a result of magical corruption pre-birth).
I have no preference, but if you can't choose, I'll go with Kiro.
