She looked at him." Are you okay?"
"I should be asking you that," he chuckled, a warm, comforting smile on his face.
Kin blinked before looking away." The dragon used to be my friend Martin Septim, the last of the Septim line of emperors. I was to protect him and since I spent a lot of time around him, we became friends. He sacrificed himself to become the avatar of Akatosh to relight the Dragonfires and remake the boundary of Oblivion and Cyrodiil."
"I'm sorry," Dmitri rested his hand on her shoulder, "He did it for good reason though."
"He did. He saved his home." She looked at the sky, a ghost of a smile on her face.
He turned her to face him and examined her face worriedly, his eyes taking in each feature, then he rather suddenly pulled her into a tight hug.
Kin tensed, surprised by what he did but after a moment, she relaxed and hugged him back.
"You mustn't dwell too long on such things," he said softly, "It winds up becoming who we are. It's not fun and rehabilitating from such things is, how you say, a bitch."
"I know but....I feel like I was at fault for his death."
He gave her a light squeeze then a tender kiss to her nose.
Kin blinked a few times befire blushed, her ears twitching backward.
"Sorry... How inappropriate of me," he backed away.
"N-no. It's okay. I just wasn't expecting it." She blushed harder.
His tail twitched nervously and he looked the other way.
Kin's ear twitched." C-come on. Lets g-get out of here." She turned.
He nodded, "Let's." he slowly followed after her.
"Do you want to eat or just go somewhere to sleep?"
"I'm hungry," he said, his stomach growling as if on queue.
Kin smiled." Good thing there's an Inn we can stay at nearby."
He nodded, "Good. Let's get going, I could really go for some stew and mead."
