"Did you seebthe horse leave or did she leave before you got up?" Kin looked up at him. Her eyes were still a bit watery.
"She was gone before I left."
She frowned and looked at the ground.
He wrapped his arms around her and gently stroked her hair, "I'm sorry."
"It's okay." Kin layed her head on his chest.
He just held her like that for a few minutes and then kissed her head as he pulled away, "Breakfast is almost ready," he said as he went back to the eggs he was cooking on a rock over their fire.
Kin nodded." I have some bread in my-" She cut herself off. Her food pouch had ben on her horses saddle. Luckily she had taken the rest off.
Dmitri took off the eggs and set them on another rock which he had cleaned then handed it to her before serving himself.
Kin nodded and forced a smile." Thank you."
Dmitri nodded, "I'm here for you, you know that."
"I know." She murmured before starting to eat.
"You can tell me anything," he said between bites of egg.
Kin stopped eating. She had barely eaten anything as she stared at her food." Everything I knew.....it's gone."
Dmitri had finished his in a matter of seconds then moved to her side and put an arm around her, "Not entirely," he said, "The world is still here because of Martin Septim... Though the world is kind of falling apart... Do you know of the White-Gold Concordat?"
Kin shook her head." Never heard of it."
"Well, not too long ago, the Thalmor Embassy, a supposed alliance of all elven kind which is actually run by only Altmer, declared war on the Empire. The Empire was being destroyed and so they were forced to sign a treaty, which was known as the White-Gold Concordat. This is what caused the civil war currently happening in Skyrim," he explained.
"Talos is the hero god of man, but when the Concordat was signed, the elves forbade the worship of Talos in Skyrim, which is where he is revered most. So the Jarl of Windhelm in te East, Ulfric Stormcloak killed the High King of Skyrim in cold blood with the power of the Thu'um, or Voice, and started a rebellion and his followers are known as the Stormcloaks. They call themselves te true sons and daughters of Skyrim. The Empire hates that they are fighting against their fellow Nords, but the Empire would be destroyed if they didn't."

"That's an interesting history." Kin looked at him.
"Mind you, this was only about two months ago," he smiled, "Not history, current events. That's when the Ulfric killed the high king. The concordat was signed about 50 years ago, give or take a decade."
"So Skyrim is fighting itself." Kin sighed." I will not let war leak into Cyrodiil."
"It's the Nords against the Empire. It shouldn't affect Cyrodil in any way except sending reinforcements," Dmitri assured her.
