The pirate's lower lip was quivering, though he tried to hide that. He patted his companion's back with his human hand."Yer welcome to try, lass. I doubt yell find much, but yer welcome to try. I'll keep track o' ya. Be sure o' that."
Once they let go, Bender started walking away, not looking back. But it wasn't hard imagining a tear was rolling down his cheek which he didn't want to show by the way his arm was rubbing over his face.
Soon he was gone, though, and Stevie was alone. There was still Sar to release, though.
((For some reason I find it extremely amusing if Bender were to cry like this))

(((Day = made LMAO))
Stevie actually did good not to cry. That is, until he had turned his back. She didn't care about making noises, either. Regardless, she acquired her horse and began to travel away from town, if anything to give Sar a chance to regain her body as well. Or a body. Something.
The trip was an emotional one, albeit quick. She didn't try to strike up conversation this time.
When she found a secluded area in a patch of woods, she stopped the horse and got off the cart. "Will this work? Do you need me to do anything?"

"Perfect, little friend! This is perfect. Simply hold the gem into the sky. Once I've come out, all that remains is an empty husk. You can add that to your gem collection. A mage or an alchemist will surely pay good money for a soul crystal."
If Stevie did as she was told, the little gem would start shining a light color of blue. Whisps that looked like little shiny orbs surrounded by a silk shawl would start floating around Stevie. Two of them. And then; a flash. A flash that would render anyone with eyes blind for a mere second, but it was enough to reveal Sar... and Eli'Syn.
Both figures looked like ghosts, as they were see-though and had a light blue color. Besides that, they both looked like their former selves, clothing and all."I'm sorry I lied to you, little friend." Sar spoke as soon as Stevie could see again."If it were up to me, we'd have picked a completely different person to deceive, but life and death situations don't give much of an option, I'm afraid. If it's any condolance, we're not going to get revenge on your pirate friend. We have much more important things to do than to sate our anger."
Eli'Syn seemed to ignore Stevie completely."How long until we have our bodies back?" "Soon, my lady." Sar replied to her."It takes a few days for our mortal forms to return. For now we should live as ghosts in the woods."
The ghostly duo overlooked Stevie one more time."Best you forget what you saw, little friend. Nothing you see here is of any importance to you anyway." And with that, they turned around and walked away, leaving trails of powdery whisps that disappeared as soon as the sun touched them. Should Stevie try to ask any questions or halt them, they would simply ignore the Halfling.

Stevie held up the gem, eager to help. It would suck in a way, mainly because she was sure she'd be lonely after this. When everything commenced, and after it had subsided, the Halfling merely stared in awe.
And hurt.
"What...? No! I don't know if I can believe that," she replied, mainly on her revenge statement. At the very least, in the case that they ever should encounter again, Stevie found it necessary to go and warn them.
Eli'Syn ignoring her was actually fairly welcome. The woman was frightening, especially after what she'd done. Her arm was messed up there now because of her. Once they were gone, she didn't try to pursue them. No, instead, she returned to her cart and went back to the port town.
She didn't care who she found as long as she found someone to tell. Even if it was Hooke or Red, who... didn't speak.

The driver seemed surprised at the sudden change of heart to return to Giantsport. But in the end he didn't question it. Heck, Stevie would still be paying for a full trip.
Back at Giantsport, Stevie would almost instantly find someone she could warn. After all, his voice could be heard from the other side of the sea at this point."You cheatin' good fer nothin' son o' a dog! Come 'ere so I can stretch yer neck out 'n make ya kiss yer stinkin' behind!" Obviously that was Norin.
A crowd was gathering around the Dwarf who had picked a fight with a Goblin, who seemed to be trying to get away from the Dwarf's grip by the sound of his screaming and flailing around as Norin held him by his neck. By the look of the dice scattered around, this was a game that had gone wrong.
((Quick question: would you be interested in doing like a "sequel" once this RP wraps up? One of my real life friends is very keen on doing a pirate themed roleplay, which I thought you might like as well))

((OMG I'D LOVE IT LSDKJFLKSJDF. I was gonna be soooo sad when this one ended too haha. . Awesome thanks so much for asking me!))
Stevie was impatient, but kept quiet. She didn't want to rush the driver or the horses, but she really wanted to be back at Giantsport before the crew got too deep into the town for her to find them, or before they left. Whichever happened first.
When they arrived, she paid the man and ran off, searching for a moment before finally hearing Norin's voice. She didn't even seem upset by the man's current situation, likely used to that sort of behavior upon the ship.
"Norin!" she called, hands at each side of her mouth. "Where's Bender? Something crazy important just came up!"
Way to treat the poor Goblin like he didn't exist!

((I was going to be sad too to leave this labor of work. I'm glad you'd love to continue. I'll be working up a plot in no time!))
Norin looked up at Stevie as he held the screaming Goblin in an armlock."Stevie? The hell?" Surprised, the Dwarf let go of the Goblin, who scurried away as quickly as possible. The Dwarf got up, collected the money and walked over to her."Bender's drunk, lass. I doubt he'll be o' any use. What's yer problem? Lay it on me."

Stevie blinked at the man's surprise, but said nothing about it. "He might sober up if he hears what I'm 'bout t'tell you!" she replied. There was a long moment of silence where she built up suspense, eventually deciding to blurt it out. There was no easy way to say it. "Eli'Syn's still alive," she finally said. "It's complicated, but let's jus' say I got lied to. She's not physically alive yet, and I don't know when she will be, but it'll be soon."
Norin looked rather confused."...Wait, that monster's still alive? Didn' Bender say 'er mug got pierced by a Silver Knight? Guess he didn' stab 'er enough. Don' mention ya had somethin' ta do with it, lass. I know ya probably didn' do whatever ya did on purpose, but we don' ought ta give Hooke a reason ta shoot ya. I doubt everyone'll just accept it was through yerself she came back, either. Come along. I know where Bender's waterin' hole is."
Soon they entered a bar that was labeled "The harbor café." Inside was a quaint little café that had more merchants in it than pirates. It was strange this was the place Bender went to for a drink, but what Norin said next made it make sense."Don't mention 'is ex wife too off'n, lass. She owns this bar, 'n fer some reason allows Bender ta drink fer free. There's always fightin' 'round those two."
They found Bender passed out on a table with his mechanical arm wrapped around the cup."Oh, gods, not this soon. Cap'n! Wake up!" Norin pinched the old man's ear, after which he nearly jumped off of his chair he jumped up so quick."Wu..wazza..." He was clearly drunk."Cap'n. Stevie's got some news."
"Steveeeh! 's Good ta see ya again... It's not been that long, though, innit? What day's it.." Norin rolled his eyes."Today's still the same day as three hours ago, Cap'n." "Oh..."

Stevie nodded vigorously. "Yeah, she is! And ye was! While he and I were fightin' at her!" she practically yelped. "I think me breathin' is enough a reason for the man to shoot me. Thanks fer understandin' though." And with that, she followed him.
To be honest, when she approached the cafe with Norin, she was absolutely convinced he got the wrong place. She thought for sure he'd be leading her to a bar or tavern or something. Not a cafe! When she was lead up to the already drunk captain, she smacked her forehead with her hand and ran it down her face, sighing loudly.
"Sober up, Cap'n, this is serious!" Stevie huffed, looking actually irritated. At Bender, no less! "Ely'Syn's still alive. I saw 'er. It was actually her, too, and not just a lady who looks like 'er!"

Bender looked at Stevie with his big droopy drunk eyes."Yer seein' ghosts, lass. Eli'Syn's dead. I saw it with me own eyes. A Tiefling struck 'is blade right through 'er forehead." Bender too still had marks from that fight with Eli'Syn that would have killed him for sure if Stevie wasn't around. His throat still had a deep shade of red to it.
"Now scoot along, missy. I gots a date with me rum." He spoke, hardly comprehinsible as he chugged down half a mug of the tar black alcohol which nearly dropped the man from his seat. Norin tapped her shoulder."Don' blame 'im too much. 'is wife likes 'im drunk. He's less prone to runnin' off that way." He said as the Dwarf eyed to a portly woman in a brown dress and with a mop of dull red hair cleaning glasses and mugs."I'll gather some o' the crew 'round fer ya, lass. Show us where ya saw 'er 'n well hunt 'er down. Maybe she's still 'round."
Later that day Norin would be waiting at the carts with a few others. Solst and Ambras, as well as Red and two other pirates were with him.

Stevie frowned. "I know that! I was there with you, remember?" she fussed, pointing at her arm. She narrowed her eyes and groaned, turning around to face Norin, who had just tapped her shoulder. She sighed and attempted to calm a little. "They're not really there yet. They're alive, but not in a physical way, iff'n that makes any sense?" She walked with Norin now. "But thank ya. I'll wait for ya at the carts."
AND THUS IT WAS DONE!
When she scurried toward the carts, she was already late. They were there, and thankfully there were more of them than just Norin and she. "Thanks fer takin' me seriously," she said, panting. She ran to them when she caught sight. "Awright, now go this way," she said, pointing. "That's closer to where I saw 'em. But they walked off n' disappeared. I'm not crazy though! They're not ghosts. They're somethin' else."

As soon as they were on the carts, Ambras was the one to answer her gratitude."I always knew Eli'Syn would some day come back to life. That woman is too smart to not have taken Silver Knights and rioting villagers in mind. Damn it, I wish Fantasm was alive. At least he would be able to tell us how she possibly defied death." Norin seemed to agree."Don' matter how she came back. What matters is we find 'er 'n send 'er back to 'er grave."
Soon they would reach the spot where Stevie had released Sar and Eli'Syn, and the hunt was on."Alright, lads. Give a shout if ya see 'em." Norin ordered as he gave everyone a torch. By now the sun was going down. Red raised a brow at the Dwarf as he notioned they had to "shout" when they saw movement. Norin rolled his eyes."Except fer you, Red. Just throw a rock 'r kick yer feet into the air 'r somethin'."
And then the hunt began. The pirates lit their torches and spread out to search for clues where these wannabe ghosts could be hiding.
((If you want you can roll for the chance of whether you find them or clues of some sort. The higher the roll, the better the clue. If it's too low they're not found, which will play a part in our sequel.))

Stevie was very quiet once they began heading there. She felt like it was all her fault, and only Norin knew she had anything directly to do with it. Could she keep it a secret from the others? If so, for how long? TUNE IN NEXT TIME FOR THE EXCITING CONCLUSION OF-- wait, there was still searching that needed to be done!
Once they arrived at the site and directions were given, Stevie began to look around. The Halfling spent a good thirty minutes scouring the general area, going back over places and spending even longer exploring further out from where she last saw them. Eventually, she'd return to the group with a defeated expression on her face, with undertones of embarrassment. Would they think she just saw things? Or that she was a liar?
"I can't find nothin', you guys. Nothin' at all," she admitted, sighing.

WHOOP
Soon the others gathered back at their starting possition where Stevie saw the pair as last, and most of them looked clearly annoyed. This witch hunt proved to be fruitless, and all this time they could have been drinking and boasting back at Giantsport. Norin and Solst seemed to be the least sceptical of all."I have seen footprints. But when I followed them I only ended up near some mud pits. Either they drowned in them or they figured out leaving footprints was not a smart move and covered their tracks. Either way, it's proof enough for me you're not delusional." The Firescale spoke in Elven, which only Stevie and Ambras could understand. Ambras of course believed Stevie as well, but he didn't count. He'd believe anything if it smelled of conspiracy.
"Well, wherever they are now, they ain't 'round. It was pretty difficult findin' people willin' ta search in the first place. None o' them 'r willin' ta look fer ghosts 'till dawn I'm 'fraid." Norin explained as the mass of the pirates headed for the carts, grumbling. Even Red seemed angryer than usual.
This was not the end of it, though. Norin had one last question for Stevie."Y'know, lass. I've been thinkin'. I know why Bender sent ya on yer way. I wouldn' want ta give this type o' life to any kiddo meself. 'Xcept maybe me ex wife's basterds just fer cannon fodder, maybe. But ta hell with it. Sendin' ya off without a clue on what ta do next ain't exactly helpin' ya out either. If ya want, I'll persuade the cap'n ta let ya stay with the crew. Just 'till ya figured out what ta do next with yer life. We ain't settin' sail fer a while, so it's not like we don' have the room fer one more. Let that offer roll through yer noggin' fer a while. I'd feel bad if ya were ta sleep on the streets 'gain 'cause ya didn' plan ahead."

The Halfling looked up to Solst when he made his own comment. At least he admitted he didn't think she was nuts! That was a huge weight off her shoulders. When they headed toward the cart, she hopped on up and took a seat in total silence.
What caught her off guard was Norin's lengthy bout of words, which concluded in an offer! Despite not having any leads on Ely'Syn or Sar and just how saddening that was to her, Stevie's face completely lit up. "Really?!" she cheered. Yeah, sure, there was a lot of really bad things that pirates did, but from what she knew about these people, that was just how they made their living. When you got to know them, most of them were really, genuinely caring people. "I dun need time, I wanna come!" Well that was quick. Truthfully, she didn't want to leave in the first place. Poor Norin had a clingy Halfling to deal with now, who'd decided his offer was in need of a tight hug. Yep.

The sudden hug out of nowhere caught the Dwarf by surprise. So much in fact Mr. Pickles flew off of his shoulder, shouting his name angrily."Whoa now, lass. I didn' take a bath in months. Ya don' want the stink o' Dwarf on ya!"
Norin would have allowed her to hire the room next to his in the Busty Mermaid inn. Though the name made it sound like the place was a cheap brothel, it was actually a decent inn where the busty mermaid was merely used for comedic purposes. Their signature was the overweight mermaid chasing behind a pair of priests with a kissy face. The important thing was that the beds were clean at least.
And the next morning, Bender cave his consent. Norin would wake her up with a huge grin on his face."Lass, don' bother unpackin' yer delicates. Yer stayin' with the crew fer the time bein'. The cap'n wants ya ta make some plans while yer here, though. He insists on ya leadin' an honest life. Or at least one that don' require ya ta cut throats. But 'till that time, yer one o' us. If Hooke gives ya any trouble, just ignore 'im. He knows killin' a crew member will cost 'im 'is head. 'N Hooke likes livin' too much to get 'is revenge on ya."

And so ends one part of the story of Stevie and her dealings with treasure hunting pirates. Though the crew got but a modest treasure, this was an adventure none of them would forget. Yet this is not the end of it.
New allies and foes await in the horizon. Every descision has concequences. These will become apparent soon. Strange news will reach the crew, and there is still Eli'Syn and Sar to take in mind, who'm escaped the pirate's grasp. How long will Stevie be able to keep quiet he, though unvoluntarily, had a hand in their survival?
That shall be revealed in PART II: Flimble flamblegams. I have no title yet.
((I'll soon be starting up the sequel to the next part of the RP. I just have to think a few things about the plot through and discuss a few things with my pal. I've got the majority figured out, though, so it shouldn't take long. Thanks for sticking with me so far, though! I had fun!))
