Instead of letting go, Bugface held Stevie to her chest protectively like a teddybear. This caused a couple of spiders to crawl right onto the Halfling in a spooked manner."No!" She shrieked stubbornly."Fidget no understand. Lys bad woman. Not squishy like first time. Dangerous!"
Through the window, the pair could see what was going on. These five hulking Orcs were overpowering Bender. One held him in an arm-lock, but the pirate quickly jammed his metal elbow up the pants, causing the green skinned brute to shriek in a very high tone and drop to the floor. That's when he drew his blade to protect himself from incoming hammers and axes.
Seeing this, Bugface dropped Stevie to the ground, though she might probably bounce off of her gut first."Fidget is right. Bender always been nice to Bugface. Little one want go out? Key is underneath chair. Bugmug won't hurt Fidget. Told her so." She referred to the giant spider, obviously. Apparently it was a pet.
After letting go, as graceful as a spider, she crawled from the walls up to the ceiling, where she squirmed through a hole. Apparently her pot belly rather soft, as it squeezed through with no issue along the rest of her body.

Stevie made an odd squeak when squeezed tighter, shaking her head vigorously with tiny little shrieks when she felt the spiders on her. She wanted so bad to freak out, but she felt so bad for this creature. "B-but I dun even know what-- who this Lys gal is--" she broke off to watch the scene outside. She grew really worried.
As Bugface let her go and began to crawl up, the halfling still spoke. "What about you, though? They want ya gone, Bugface! And- and we will still need the tablet and..." Well she couldn't exactly crawl up there, now, could she? With a sigh, she gave up, and looked around for the key beneath the chair. Once she had it, the halfling, if without further interruption, would open the door hurriedly and rush to the one with the keyhole.
Scrambling to open it, she finally heard the click and bam! The door would open. Just in case, she'd lock the door from the outside (if she could) and pocketed the key. Maybe that'll help Bugface just a little bit. But then there's the panicked fighting before her, and she didn't know what to do! Throw rocks? Jump on one of their backs? RELEASE THE CRACKE--er, spider? Nah, that last one would be subjecting Bugface's pet to danger.
"I dunno why you guys are fightin' for, that place is completely empty! C'mon, Bender, let's go look somewhere else...," she called, hoping they'd be gullible enough to fall for it. And if not, she'd probably just start throwing rocks. Yep.

The Orcs had already started swinging their heavy weaponry for Bender, but when Stevie came out, they actually halted."What in the blazes were you doing in there kid? Are ya-" They had almost bought the lie until Bugface appeared on the roof of the building, shrieking something unintelligible. The Orc's surprised look disappeared almost instantly."Kill 'em. Kill all three of 'em." He said in a cold yet angry way, suddenly lifting his hammer from the ground and charging for Bender, who only had to sidestep."Horrible timin' 's always, ya spidery basterd!" He yelled, frustrated.
The four Orcs remaining wore, dark and ugly heavy armor, though they were hard to differentiate. They were either bald or had a warrior's knot. The spokesman with the hammer also had a beard and a more brown complexion. He also seemed to be the most angry of the bunch. He quickly turned around to swat Bender in his kidney, but his steel arm blocked the hit with a loud "clunk" sound.
Stevie wasn't exactly safe, though. One of these Orcs was still clutching between his legs from Bender's hit, but a bald one raced for Stevie, wielding a battleaxe, while Bugface stood on that roof, seemingly doing nothing. The Halfling might notice a whole bunch of spiders grouping up behind her, though.

Stevie frowned. That slimy bastard-of-a-woman! Of course, now she grew frantic and panicked as she was among even more fighting, and was even targeted at one point! That battleaxe could easily split the 'kid' in two. "You wouldn't kill a kid!" she squeaked. "Right?!" That didn't keep her from running away, though!
The spiders were spotted, and for a moment, she wanted to run toward the orc and take her chances with him. Thoughts began to turn over in her head, though, and she soon realized that Bugface may just be helping them out! So instead of running away from the spiders, she reluctantly fled toward them. They could help somehow, right? Gods, she hoped so. When close enough to the spiders and the orc himself, she'd attempt to run between his legs if at all possible.
If successful in that, she'd likely try to jump on his back. (She seemed to enjoy that.) Why? If he swung his battleaxe at his back, he'd risk hurting himself! He wouldn't kill himself now, would he? Well he was an orc. They weren't rumored to be the smartest in the world, but she hoped it'd distract him enough!

Stevie's quickness was proven once more. The Orc, in a hazy bloodlust, wildly swung his axe around, but simply couldn't hit the frail girl. And now she was on his back before he well knew what was going on. What an embarrassment! Angrily he tried to reach the Halfling on his back."Get off ya blasted mongrel!" He shouted angrily."I'll make yer death slow 'n painful if ya don't!" He had nearly grabbed her by the top of her dress, but suddenly he got a web in his face.
Bugface had been making sticky balls of webs with her mouth, which she threw around. This one was a straight hit. The Orc could hardly breathe as he violently shook around, trying to get the sticky goo off of him with his fingers. That was when the spiders who had gathered nearby started move. They crawled over his armor, trying to get in through the cracks and nooks that lead to his skin. Panicking, the Orc dropped to the ground, unable to get this swarm of spiders out of his armor. He screamed loudly as the little beasts started to bite his skin.
Bender in the meanwhile was in a more difficult situation. He still had three Orcs to deal with, and they were intent on seeing him die. Two with hammers, one with a battleaxe. All three of them had a good chance of smashing the old man to death. But the captain wouldn't go down without a fight. These Orcs relied on their strength as much as Bender did not his arm. One with a knot in his hair charged for Bender, who in turn raised his steel arm. The Orc roared something in Orcish, but did not notice Bender's saber. He had anticipated a hit from the old man's arm, but instead he got the pointy end of Bender's saber right into his throat. With his eyes wide open, the Orc fell to the ground, choking on his blood.
Bender couldn't savor this victory, though. He hadn't noticed the leader of the gang sway behind him and hit with the flat of his hammer right onto Bender's back, forcing him onto his knees. No crunch was heard, but the old man did groan in pain.

Stevie jumped off the orc's back when she saw the spiders climb up on him. No way in Hell she wanted to accidentally touch one, even if they were on her side! So instead, she ignored his grawlin' and jumped away. Turning, she saw that Bender was in quite a bit of trouble. Ah, what to do, what to do?! If she didn't do something quick, he'd be wishin' all he got was a shove with a hammer!
"Ay!" she yelled, trying to mask the shakiness in her voice. She began to frantically pick up rocks and toss it at him. "Didn'tcher Ma ever teach ya not to pick on old people?" When she ran out of rocks, she looked around. Had any of them dropped their weapons? If so, that was her next target! Grabbing up one of those. Of course it'd require all her strength just to drag it, but by the gods if she didn't try!
If there were no grounded weapons, and all she had were rocks, then that's all she'd keep doing. Throwing rocks. She was mostly trying to distract while Bender recovered. She wasn't exactly a strong person, so she couldn't sock him one. But it seemed like the previous one had problems when she climbed on his back, so she ditched the rocks and aimed for that approach to, off with a running start toward the orc with the hammer.

More and more people were flocking to the fight, meaning more and more people saw Bugface on the roof and ran away to warn others. This was not a fight they could finish, nor win. They had to get going as fast as possible before the entire town starts flocking for the fight to join their fellow Orcs.
The leader of the group got hit right on his stupid bald head by Stevie and turn around for her."Oh, I'll make ya wish ya didn't just do that, little bird." He said as he menacingly walked over to her with his gigantic hammer."I'll turn you into a stain twice the size of what ya are now!" Stevie managed to get the leader off of Bender, but there was still the Orc in front of him with the battleaxe, who was about to behead him. To make matters worse, the Orc with the bleeding pants Bender downed was getting back up, slowly.
Before the headsman could strike, though, Bender roared and jumped forward, smashing his foe down to the ground with him on top."Try'na take me head, do ya?" He started smashing onto the Orc's face with his mechanical fist. It didn't take all that many hits before he was dead.
Meanwhile Bugface hopped off the roof, trying to come to the aid of Stevie. She was faster than she looked. Running past the dying Orc who constantly got bug bites from the spiders, she charged for the Orcish leader, but he was more cunning than she anticipated. With a huge swing, Bugface was smashed aside into the dirt. This was the Orc's new target. There was a price on her head after all. Stevie might have noticed the twitching Orc bitten by spiders had a dagger hanging from his side. Stevie might be able to grab it, if he would stop rolling around.

As the fight continued, Steve grew more and more concerned with the way things were going to turn out. This was especially so when she actually hit the orc leader with a rock in the head. All color left the halfling as her plan succeeded - a little bit too well. Her attention was caught briefly by the rather gross display of punching-to-death, hands coming up to hide her eyes for just a second. Yeah, she hadn't exactly seen anything like that before. See, THIS was why she hated fights. She was mostly useless and too squishy! But instead of standing there awaiting her death, she turned tail to hide. When she twisted her body around, she saw Bugface come to her aid!
Relief swept over her, but was gone just as quickly as Bugface was hit and thrown. Now, this wasn't exactly a great thing to see, but it did help get the attention off her.
"Bugface!" she squeaked. Now that he was distracted, she had to find something to do to help! Her eyes did find the dagger mentioned, and she quickly ran forward to it. His writhing about made it next to impossible to pull it from its sheath, but she managed in due time.
Now, the halfling ran back into the fray, nervous, but attempting to keep to one target: the one focused on Bugface. The creature had already been hurt, she didn't want her to die! She was nice. She liked her, even if she was creepy and had spiders all over her. She tried to run behind him and would likely attempt to shank him in the butt. If that had a little effect or wasn't very successful in wounding him, she'd instinctively jump up and try climbing his back. What to do from here? Stab through his garb? Slit his throat? She had to think quickly.
Her tiny arm came from around his neck and quickly, shakily tried to swipe the flesh there. Well, she'd try to help the creature at least! Or get throw off trying. Maybe the butt jab would help distract him from her climbing him or something? She sure does climb a lot.

Oh, dear. A dagger up the butt? That had to hurt. The Orc did have an unprotected behind. Right before he'd swing, the cold blade went straight through his soft tissue, though not fully, still enough to make him shriek in pain. Bugface quickly used this moment to get back up and bite the green man's throat out. Soon he was down as well.
Bender quickly ran his sword through the other Orc trying to get up. Another hit through the neck, probably the cleanest death so far."We ain't goin' ta be liked 'ere no more, lasses!" He warned the pair while the spiders turned from the other soldier's corpse and crawled back onto the Ettercap."Bugface! Where's the tablet!?"
The Ettercap took a few steps back."Cannot give!" She shrieked. Bender had clearly lost his patience as he drew his gun towards Bugface."I didn' just kill these folk just ta hear yer crap, Dreadvile. Give me th' blasted tablet 'n I'll let ya walk out o' 'ere with yer life!" His voice sounded angrier than ever.
The Ettercap hissed at her former captain."I die. You never find tablet." When Bender said this Ettercap was smart, he meant it. The captain gritted his teeth."I promise ye, lass. Give me th' tablet, 'n ya won't have ta fear Eli'Syn. If ya don', I'll shoot ya through yer ugly mug 'n call it a day!"
Completely distraught, she turned to Stevie."Fidget, what happen to Captain?" She didn't seem to grasp that an entire fortress of orcs was about to swarm them."Never seen him angry like this." At this point, Bender's trigger finger was getting very itchy.

Steve supposed she'd have to ask what this Eli'Syn thing was, but not now. He looked absolutely irate, and it actually unnerved the halfling a little bit. For such a goofy old man, he could get pretty terrifying. The gun didn't help any, either.
She figured she'd need a drink after this. Or maybe six. She didn't have time to be too freaked out about it now, but the halfling didn't think she'd ever witness someone dead, or partake in it, or watch a pal of hers perform the act of murder! It was self-defense, yes, and this much made her feel better, but still. Her thoughts were interrupted by Bugface speaking with her.
"Aw, Bugface, c'mon! If it weren't for us (mostly Bender) they woulda stormed yer house and prolly killed you and yer pet! Don'tcha think it's the least you owe 'im? And what're you doin' with it anyway? Just hidin' it, not making any use outta it? It doesn't have a use when it's all by itself like that. C'mon pleaaaaseeee?" LAY ON THE PUPPY DOG EYES THERE STEVIE.

Bender couldn't help but grin when he heard the nickname Bugface had given Stevie. No wonder she still had all her limbs. But just because he grinned didn't mean he was less angry. The guards were getting very close now.
Bugface looked around, and now also noticed guards closing in."...Fine. If Syn find me, I send spiders to eat Captain's eyes!" She shrieked as she ran back inside.
Bender instantly turned around and shot an incoming guard in the head, sighing."Better make it fast ya basterd." He mumbled as he pointed his sword at the seven remaining Orcs and Halforcs that were coming for him.
"You're going to pay the price in blood, old man!" One of the Half Orcs shouted at him after seeing the corpses. Clearly they did not suspect Stevie.. yet."Yer ugly green brethren deserved it, lil' guy." Bender said, mocking."Tryin' ta break into an' ol' man's house like that. Wan' ta avenge 'em? Come 'n get it!" At that, the orcs drew their crossbows and aimed for the old pirate.
"Cheatin' landslugs!" He roared as he dropped his sword and raised his hands.

Stevie sighed. It was almost over! Bugface complied and was likely going to retrieve the tablet as they spoke! When the other orcs arrived and surprised poor Bender with arrows at the ready, the halfling just sort of... froze.
"Sometimes I think ya don't know when ta' keep yer mouth shut, ole Bender o' Iron Will." Ah, hey, she said his full name! She shook her head, but that didn't mean she wasn't afraid! Since the arrows weren't aimed on her, she wouldn't raise her hands, as that would likely gain attention, but she did slip the dagger into the pocket of her coat. Could use that later! Oh wait, now her coat pocket had orc butt blood on it.... Gross.
"C'mon Bugfaaaceee!" she whispered to herself, bouncing a little. "What do we do?" she added, this time directed at Bender. "Are they gonna kill ya?" GASP.

The Orcs closed in."Old man, we're sendin' you into the mines, 'n to make it fair towards the other prisoners, we're tearing of that fancy arm of yours." Bender didn't seem scared by that threat at all. Instead he raised his brow."Now go 'n explain ta me how tearin' off an ol' man's arm's goin' make things fair fer other more young 'n strong folk?" At that, Bender received the blunt edge of the crossbow against his nose, which made him fall backwards into the dirt. The Orcs found that quite amusing.
But then came their rescue. Like a ghost, Bugface appeared behind Stevie and whispered into her ear, spitting some of her saliva right into it."I know safe spot in woods. Run for woods, follow me when I run." She warned the Halfling.
Only moments later did Bugmug charge out of the front door, scurrying over to Bender, not even trying to remain out of sight like Bugface did. She charged straight for the Orcs. Of course, that didn't end well.
The Orcs, shocked by the sight of such a giant beast shot all their arrows for Bugface's pet. The poor spider was torn to pieces."Run! Follow me, Fidget!" Bugface shrieked as she sprinted off like an escape horse. Bender took this opportunity to get back up, smash the Orcs aside with his mechanical arm, grab his sword and run like hell, however slow that was in his case.

Stevie's question wasn't answered by Bender, but by Bugface who nearly literally scared the shit out of her. The halfling smacked her own ear and attempted to wipe out the saliva, but remained alert and listening. She looked to Bugface momentarily, and suddenly saw her fleeing for the woods. Scrambling, she only began to run when she saw Bender take action as well. Didn't want to abandon him! Plus she owed him for the duck, didn't she?
Regardless, now she ran for Bugface. She was surprised at the orcs mercy, though. She figured, with as much trouble as the old man had caused, they would've killed him! It also seemed like they didn't pay the halfling much mind, which she really wasn't complaining about. Now that they were running, she dug into her pocket and withdrew the dagger, mostly because it was beginning to puncture a hole in the corner of her pocket and was starting to poke her leg. She looked back to make sure the old man was coming and not in too much trouble, but she wasn't really too far ahead.

((literally? ewwie.))
The Orcs, instead of reloading, blew their horns for guards to come and close the gates. Reloading their crossbows would take too long. They'd be out of reach by the time they were done. So far, Stevie had been figured to be an innocent bystander, but now that she ran along the old pirate and the Ettercap, they wouldn't think twice to shoot her down.
Bugface was well ahead, angered by the loss of her pet. She crawled on top of the wooden wall and pulled those down who tried to close the gates and stop those notching their arrows. With blobs of web and poison spit she took on Orcs twice her size, though clearly she wouldn't be able to keep this up for long.
Bender was panting already."I...I'm too ol' fer this..." He mumbled as he kept going at a slow pace. The Orcs chasing them would actually be able to catch up to Bender, if he kept this up, but whether they could stop this tank of a pirate was another thing."Lass, keep on runnin'!" He yelled."If I'm right, the next airship ta Fossler's Tower! Tell the lad in charge ta load me cart up! It should still be there!"

((NEARLY I SAID NEARLY SDLFKJ haha))
Any arrows that came her way would cause the girl to jump up and shriek each time. She wasn't incredibly fast, moving half the speed of humans and the like, but she was wiry and agile and would often try to climb and jump over stuff. It was so dumb looking.
Stevie looked back to Bender, that is, if he ran too much slower than her as well, and was half tempted to drag him with her or tickle him. Why tickle? Well that would've made Steve want to run faster. She noticed the gate closing though and merely decided to yell at the man.
"C'mon, Bender!" she called, although almost instantly she heard him yell back at her. He wanted her to go to the airship tower? Well, if he said so! She wouldn't feel guilty for abandoning him since he told her to, but honestly what good was she doing anyway? So off toward the airship tower she fled!
While Bender was busy being slow and more than likely dealing with the orcs coming after him, the halfling finally made her approach to the tower and pushed herself past whoever was there in order to get to the man in question. She grew concerned about whether they were going to even get the tablet or not, but figured their lives were much more important. Still, it was disappointing.
She relayed the message in a hurry, and once she was done she wanted nothing more than to collapse on the ground and just breathe for a while. Her legs hurt! She'd peer out toward Bender, trying to see if he was alright, and then she'd glance over to Bugface.

The Orcish woman Stevie had to speak to nodded."Very well, we'll get the cart loaded up. I hope your friend's going to be here, soon, though. The ship is going to arrive in about five minutes. It's not going to stay rested here for long." She warned her.
It took a while for Bender to appear and come running. He had a bolt in his shoulder that supported his steel arm. That can't be good. Bugface was not with him either."Is it loaded up?!" Bender asked immediately. Not waiting for an answer, he followed the group into the ship. He didn't even seem to notice he was hit.

Stevie nodded. "He will, he will..." He has to. He's ok, right? Yeah, he's ok. Gotta be ok! she thought to herself, absolutely filled with worry for both Bender and Bugface. She no longer thought it devastating they went without the tablet; they could figure it out if they are missing a piece. It'll be alright.
Finally, Bender appeared, asked the question, and she nodded. He probably didn't even see it, but it didn't seem to matter either way. She noticed the arrow in his shoulder and would likely question him about it - when he was still, that is.
"Need help...?" came the inquiry, her finger pointing to the arrow in his shoulder.

Bender, for a moment had no idea what his Halfling companion was talking about, until he looked at his shoulder and moaned in dismay."Aww, bloody hell!" He seemed more annoyed than anything else. He tried to pull the arrow out, but ended up breaking the wooden part. Now it would be much more tricky to pull the steel out of his flesh, and judging by his expression, he well knew it.
Soon the pair would be sitting down again in their seating, only this time Bender didn't order duck. He still had a bellyful of the two birds he devoured a few hours before. From underneath his cloak Bender put the newest fragment on the table to show her he got his hands on it."Bugface threw it at me when I was runnin' fer the tower. She was still on the walls, tryin' to keep them Orcs from beheadin' me. I ain't sure what happened, though." He had to admit."Could be she ran, 'r she might be dead." Though Bender tried to hide it, the thought of Bugface being dead did trouble him.
No sooner than the ship was airborne, a loud thump was heard, though. Arrows hitting the deck, perhaps? These Orcs were quick ones. But not to worry, the rest of the trip would remain calm.
After a few failed attempts to pull the arrowhead out of his shoulder, Bender started speaking."I'll be honest with ya, lass. The last fragment's goin' ta be the hardest one. The one who planned this mutiny 'n robbed me o' me map was Eli'Syn's work. She's a criminal, true 'n true, though pretty insane, especially fer an Eladrin." He explained."She was convinced she was bitten by a Lycanthrope, now I ask ye, where in the bloody seven seas do ya think Werewolves would live?" He rolled his eyes at the mere thought of it."In any case, when she got me fragments stolen, she figured she'd be able ta get to the treasure before me 'n live the rich life, but I've kept one fragment real close. From what I hear now, she got her a band o' raiders at Fossler's Mountain. She's the most dangerous target yet, lass. I'll understand if ya want ta back away."

At the sight of the tablet, she grinned widely, but gave him a frown when she realized Bugface may not be safe. His following statement made her feel even more disheartened. "I hope she's alright, I liked 'er. Creepy thing, but she was nice as could be."
Stevie stared at the wound and grimaced. Yeah, it was gross, but she was worried about the guy! Unfortunately, her worries were cut short when she heard the thudding of arrows bouncing off the ship. She was afraid momentarily, but once they took off she grew alright again. Releasing a heavy sigh, the Halfling leaned back and watched the man. "Should I try t' get the arrow out? ...I got thin fingers," she offered.
"Oh, the lass Bugface kept mentionin'! ...She thinks she's a werewolf? Thinks? Aye, does sound a bit loony, haha!" she replied. Stevie seemed not to worry too much about the lady herself, but she did look a little troubled. Not suddenly, though, just... ever since she got to the airship and settled down with the man.
"Caves? The woods? Old abandoned forts? I'unno, Bender. Maybe we'll get some leads when we get there. But I ain't abandonin' ya, especially if we're almost done with gettin' the damn things. Not sure what help I'll be, though, I can't do more than stab an Orc in the arse."
She laughed at herself for a moment, but the concern returned and she wanted even more to help with his wound than anything.
