So, I recently got back into this site after a small hiatus. And so far, everything has been the same. However, I've noticed a serious increase in deleted accounts. At least three of my partners have had their accounts deleted out of nowhere. And I've noticed other accounts too.
I don't really RP with accounts that are "sketchy", for the lack of a better word. Or anyone that seems to be a rule breaker or anything else. So it's very strange to have so many disappear. It definitely wasn't like this a few months ago.
Just curious if anyone else has noticed, or if it's totally situational with me.

What I've noticed is that newer folks seem quicker to leave, and as RPR keeps growing, that means that the same statistical number of people leaving means a larger absolute number, which can definitely make it more visible. Newer folks have also made fewer connections yet and are more likely to feel a culture clash, so tend to be quicker in deciding to just vanish back away without any warning.
And then I also see older users moving into new phases in life, although I tend to see "dead" accounts more than deleted accounts with those ones. Hiatuses that may or may not have been announced or extended, etc.

True, that's definitely a logical way to look at it. I just found it a bit strange to come across so many accounts that have randomly deleted without warning. I was curious if maybe the site was cracking down on content or maybe multiple accounts.
But they were all somewhat new accounts. So maybe you're right.

Novalyyn made a really good point here, I only want to add something I noticed recently too:
Like written there it depends on the change of circumstances in life someone goes trough. Lately I stumbled into a bunch of awesome people that were great RP'ers but due to a, mostly horrible, event in their life they couldn't keep up the strength to actively write here. Sometimes it is then better to just vanish instead of leaving a "dead" account back.
Sometimes this dead accounts get reanimated, but sometimes not...sadly.
