So I’m sort of new to this whole thing, I’ve written a few stories in my time and my head is brimming with ideas. I don’t exactly know what to do with them so I’m testing the waters here to see what this is like. I’m working on a high fantasy project at the moment and want to experiment with some arabesque fantasy too. I hope to have some fun here.

Welcome to RPR! I'm super glad you've joined us here! There's definitely a passion for world-building here (I run a group, there's a link in my profile), and Arabic-inspired RPs are always fascinating!
I really recommend checking out the Looking For RP boards, and I definitely recommend hitting up the OOC Chat as a place to get to know some of your fellow roleplayers!

When getting started with RP, I really recommend this primer on basic RP concepts as a starting place. Even if you have some RP experience, it can be a nice way to see what the general norm is here.
We also had some community discussions awhile back about how to improve at RP.. I boiled them down into interesting articles for those who are interested. Here's a selection of my favorite ones:

The responsibility of ALL RPers (getting this one right will generally make people sing your praises!)
And if you want to put a slightly more advanced technique in your back pocket for now and again: Using dice to enhance RP

You can always try typing your question into the search box, or you can check the help section. If that fails, we pride ourselves on having a warm and welcoming community.
