As cliche as it sounds, I'm looking for a general, fun all around medieval/fantasy RP. Elves, dragons, knights in shining armor, mages- all a must. A war between two rival kingdoms? More likely than you think! I do tend to prefer it to be a bit more mature/dark themed- think "Game of Thrones" and not "Gallavant". I have nothing against the singing, but it's a bit too "bloodless" for my tastes.
Possible Plots:
At War - Two kingdoms, both alike in power, stature and greed have all but thrown themselves into a bloody war, with no end in sight. Battle and skirmishes have broken across the once-prosperous land, and the innocent people- elves, humans and other alike, all want the same thing- peace.
Down With the Mages! - Magic, once part of everyday life, has been exiled- those that use it, sentenced to death at the headsman's block. The people have grown to fear the power a mage holds at their fingertips, for a single, uttered word can be the downfall of entire kingdoms. Those with magic have gone into hiding, while those that call themselves "Hunters" track them down.
(While romance is not a requirement, nor is it meant to overshadow the main plot, the theme of 'star-crossed lovers' may apply to the two above.)
Please Note: I do enjoy darker, more gory themes, but I will not write smut. Implications, perhaps, but until I am more comfortable with the people I interact with, it will have to be a no-go. Therefore this will be posted in the general forums.
While I would greatly appreciate interest in the plots I have come up with, I am always looking for other ideas- throw them at me! I love hearing other writers' ideas.

Magic is very common. Magic-tech, grand floating islands, forests that sing, magical creatures may be an every-day occurrence.
Iron age
More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.
Details: Freeform, paragraphs required, long-term RP partner preferred.
Hmm.... I like the more edgy theme ala Game of Thrones and Black Company. Your 'War' theme has lots of possibilities.

I typically tend to do 1 x 1, simply because they're easier to keep up with, but if you're looking for a multi-player thread, I'm sure we can figure something out!

I really like the mature concept and was hoping to find more of that here. I really encourage a group version of this Medieval Fantasy war. It could be really fun with the right group of writers. Albeit, I am interested in 1x1 as well. Maybe something more can birth from that and we can allow other players into our story. Let me know if you still need a partner.

Hi, I saw your roleplay and thought to myself that it was a good idea. It isn't very cliche to me, I prefer fantasy over most things. I have something on my mind: would it be okay if Ruby (my character) could have the ability to somewhat communicate with any creature that is unable to talk at all? My feelings won't be hurt if you say "no" but I'm throwing the idea out there. Reply when you can, thank you!

Hey! I would be interested in either one, but if I had to decide I think "at war" would work perfectly with my character Aalot! If you want we could dm and get it figured out, I generally do 1x1 roleplays but if needed I could hop into a group rp
