Have you ever felt like you have no self control over RPing? Like I have every intention in going to bed on time, but I get so interested in my RP that I stay up like all night long just waiting to see if I get a reply
Ha ha ha.... yes, been there, done that, especially when the co-writer is a half a world away and thetime zones get involved. I have to go to bed before they get up or I'm up way late into the depths of the morning.
YES. And I haven't exactly figured out how to solve it yet in my own life so if something works for you, let me know. Lol.
Co-writing is so great to me that it's a double-edged sword. For me, it's not so much waiting for a reply as it is just not wanting to stop and get off. The way I solved the waiting for a reply problem is by starting enough role-plays with enough people who are on here a lot that there is often something to reply to. Because they're all multi-paragraph role-plays. *PM me if you need more partners if you want to try that approach* But then that can backfire too, because then if you can't keep up, or you stay on longer. There are also people who don't mind just chatting. But yeah every rp response can be such a hit of dopamine to the brain, especially if you really love to write or to read. The only thing that has worked for me, honestly, is leaving my phone at home or in my car, and keeping my computer off. But there may be easier ways for you, like setting a timer with an alarm that goes off, or transitioning to reading a book that you really like at a certain time if night, which is still satisfying but doesn't have the same suspense factor which can keep one awake.

I have no self control if I and another roleplayer have a awesome chemistry. Both characters are playing off each other. One time one of my characters reincarnated back to life.
