Purple bits of hair floated above the ground while the woman they belonged to stared with growing ire at her pink haired room mate. Her foot tapped continuesly against the ground and her green eyes were narrowed to near slits at this point. It could certainly be understood from an outside view point. After all, the pink haired girl was surrounded by distruction, covered in batter, and still stirring a bowl half full of the noxious concoction she was trying to make.
It seemed that our darker female was going to be ignored. "Luna!" She impatiently snapped, demanding attention. "What have you done to my lunch!?"
It seemed that our darker female was going to be ignored. "Luna!" She impatiently snapped, demanding attention. "What have you done to my lunch!?"
More batter and bits bowls contents flew out of the bowl as the pink haired female jumped in suprise at the sudden shout of her name. She looked over at her dark skined roommate sheepishly trying to look as innocent as she could, and therfore failing miserably at it.
"er...um.. Hi there Ry...I was just erm..." She looked around the room taking in her damage, her face flushing red. Her gazed ended on the cook book she had bought the other day that was no coated with thick splotches of the unknown substance she had created.
"I... I was at the book store yesterday after work and there was this really pretty cake in this cook book there. I wanted to suprise everyone by making it... but, I think something went wrong when I added the flour..."

Lunch, she needed to get lunch started. The others were probably getting hungry, and she could hear her own stomach giving a hearty rumble. She wasn't quite sure what she would make yet... But apparently her roomies were already clamoring in the kitchen looking for scraps.
Entering the kitchen, she let out a little squeek at the sight of the kitchen. There was flour EVERYWHERE. Did something explode...? And then she saw the reason. Luna was trying to cook.
"........" There were no words at first... Nothing to say at the sight of such... Mess, in her kitchen. Her kitchen. "Uhh... Luna? Are you okay, hun? Why are you trying to cook? You know if you wanted something all you have to do is ask."

Ry stared on incredulously, shaking her head after a moment and throwing up her arms in frustration. Shadows started to leech from her hair moving out across the room and making bits of the disaster disappear into the dark folds a few inches at a time. She turned her dark green eyes briefly on their tallest room mate and answered for the walking hurricane.
"Apparently she tried to bake a cake." The answer came out more growl than statement. More of the shadows moved out from her, slipping up Luna's body and over the book she'd turned into the cake she was trying to create. "Apparently we haven't knocked enough sense in her to convince her not to try." She paused a moment and got a dark grin over her lips. "Why don't you give her a love tap Mina?" She snickered.

Luna looked up at Mina with big apoligetic eyes. Some of her loose hair falling in her face obscuring her view of the taller female.
"I wanted to try and suprise you guys... I had mary help me at work so I could try and get a bit better at it but... well you can see how it turned out."
Motion out of the corner of her eye caught her attention but before she really had a chance to look she felt the cold weight of Rys shadows crawling up her body. She shuddered at the sensation. She had never gotten used to it and she doubted she ever would.
She scowled at Ry's comment of a 'Love Tap' from Mina. She wasn't that industructable, expecially when it came to Minas strength.

The dark girl skoffed and rolled her eyes, reaching into the farthest corners of the kitchen to finish what she had started. "If Mina can't teach you how to cook as a chef, Mary sure as h*ll can't." she grumbled a bit more under her breath and started to bring her power back into herself, her living like hair calming as she did so.
Mina raised a brow at Ry's suggestion. She would never do such a thing, and they both knew it.... But still... Luna was sooo.... Luna. At the sight of the flour slowly being covered and cleaned by shadow, a warm smile spread across her face and she took the situation in her usual laid back manner. "Well, I think you deserve an 'E' for effort at the very least. But hun, you know you are very accident prone, unfortunate luck seems to follow you like a puppy. Perhaps you could try something else if you want to suprise us. Like knitting."
Wait... Knitting involved 'knitting needles'... "Or perhaps not." Letting out a small chuckle, Mina reached over and gave the much shorter woman a gentle pat on the head. "Well, we will find something for you to do. Crafts can be lots of fun. Even if they get a little... Uh... Messy."
Turning slightly to look at her darker Roomie, she gave the even smaller woman a smile as well. "Ry, since you were nice enough to clean the kitchen, you get the choice of what I'm making for lunch."

Luna stuck out her tounge at Ry. She couldn't really deny the statment, but still Mary had been a big help. Though even with that she hadn't been able to improve by much.
She looked over at Mina as she spoke grinning that the taller female wasn't mad at her. Minas wrath was in alot of ways, scaryer than Ry's. She perked up more at the mention of crafts. sha had always been one for arts and crafts. Perhaps she could suprise them with a picture!
Her stomach rumbled at the mention of food from Mina alerting her of how hungry she truly was.

"I better get to choose at this point!" The dark girl was obviously the grumpy one of the group. It was fairly obvious with her constant growls, grumbles, glares, and huffs. The last of her shadows came back to her, making her hair seem to wrap around her form before falling loose once more, floating just above the linoleom they were all standing on. "Lets see. I think I want me-"
A loud alarm started to go off in the depths of their home. What ever good cheer Ry was about to enjoy disappeared in a puff of smoke and the blaring noise. She let out a little sigh before she disappeared, seeming to sink into the floor, or perhaps the shadow that lay underneath a nearby chair. Which ever floats your boat as far as she was concerned.
Down below the main floor of a seemingly normal, if high class, apartment was a basement that had no rightful claim to be there, but was. Brimming with knick-knacks and odds-and-ends, it was a scientist's jungle. Beyond that, there were three lockers and three sets of uniforms. The shadow girl appeared within a uniform of purple and black, skulls and boots replacing a long red shirt and slippers.
No time for lunch. It was time for work.

You would think, with how common an occurance the 'Monster Alarm' was, that Mina would be used to the thing, but it still made her jump every now and then. Today, it was a now. "Eep!"
After she had recovered from the shock of the alarm, she rushed off to get to her uniform... tossing clothes as she went. She really wasn't very modest... But it did make it easier to get her uniform on once she got to it. There was a light jingle as she tied her bell into place. "Lets Do This, Ladies!"

Luna stumbled after them trying to undress as much as she could as she made her way down the stairs and to her locker. She slipped into her own uniform hopping a bit as she pulled on her stockings. with a final zip of her boots and a clasp of her hair bow she was ready to go. She stretched out her arms and legs as she made her way to the other grils and quickly shifted through a morph to her tiger form and back as she came up to stand with them.
"Let's do this!"
"Let's do this!"
Being the first one finished, Ry was left finding out the destination of their summoning. Her heels clicked on the concrete floor as she strode with purpose across the room and leaned over their resident computer geek, a blonde male that practically had his nose glued to his glowing screen. After all, he got a nose bleed every time he turned around, and not just because he saw Mina's bare chest. "Where are we going?" Her voice was all business, nothing like her usual ire.
"Down town Phoenix." The male's voice carried a light accent and he raised a hand to fix his glasses while they both looked over the map. "It looks like the attack goes into a couple of the subburb areas as well, so not just the main city." Ry's head bobbed up and down and she inspected a few of the streets. "We'll come in here." She pointed to an alley between two office buildings. "Behind it. Thanks Ken."
The shadow girl moved back across the floor and just as boots were zipped, thick shadows engulfed all three girls and swept them away in an instant, cutting off their air until they arrived at their destination a mere moment later.

As the shadows receded the sound of rushing water reached the three superhero's ears. Not to mention the giant geyser of what seemed to be sparkling blue-green waters creating a massive flood that reached them within a matter of moments.
Mina was the first to make a sound of distaste as water rushed toward her, engulfing her up to her knees... Which meant the other Ladies were getting soaked to almost the waist. "Well, this is just.... swell. Er, no pun intended."
Glancing around she trudged through the water, making her way tosomething she could climb on as the water bagan to get higher. After climbing up to the top of a nearby car, she jumped to a lightpost and looked toward the geyser. "There looks like there are things moving in the water! Be carefull!" She yelled down to her companions.
Jumping back down onto the car, leaving a small dent, she looked around for a better spot. AS of now, the situation put her at a disadvantage.

Luna let out a gasp as she was released from the shadows only to be nearly knocked over by the rushing water. She struggled to keep her balance against the current as she mentaly ran through her list of semiaquatic animals.
Deciding upon one she began to shift, her body swelling and morphing as thick light pink fur spread across her flesh and her face filled out into a muzzle. She bound forward now in her full Polar Bear form towards the tower of water with a roar. As she hit the water the current shifted and threw her into a near by car across the street from Mina.
She stood back up and shook the water from her fur and moved to lunge at the geiser again only to stop as maniacal laughter echoed from near by. Moments later Doctor Maniacal appeared facing the giant tower of water.
"How dare you step foot on my teritory! The place is under the control of ME! Doctor Maniacal the Great and Evil Scientist! I demand you leave at onc-" With a rush of water the brainless man was engulfed by the tide.
Luna groaned and held her face in her paws. If they didn't already have enough to deal with!

The rush of water took the girl of shadows completely off guard, causing her to yelp and flail indignatly for her balance so she wasn't swept away with the first of it. She quickly pulled herself into her gift and moved into the buildings they stood beside, looking out a third story window to take in all that was truly happening below.
Thick and darting shapes shot through the water, appearing as mere blurrs beneath the rushing surface. Ry's dark green eyes narrowed, trying to take in the details but there was no luck. This wasn't a fight she was going to be of much use for and it irked her to no small degree.
"Move." The dark hero snapped at people that had started to gather near, their words clogging her ears with their anxiety, making it even harder to think. She ran past them, moving towards the stairs and up to the top of the small business. The only way she was going to be of use was to get rid of the water and that was going to take a while.
Ry shoved her way through the service door and came out on the sunny roof, the mid-day Arizona sun cruelly beating down on all of them, reflecting off the torrent of water and nearly blinding her. She was going to have one h*ll of a migraine later.
As before in the kitchen, the dark woman's hair moved away from her and shifted down and down and down, sinking into the destruction below. She couldn't control enough shadow to coat the whole problem, but she could drain it like a tub, opening her shadows like a door into an underground lake.

There were buildings a plenty, but not something that Mina wanted to get up on. At least, not by trudging through water.
Again she launched herself at the lightpost, but this time she swung herself around before launching herself in the direction of the geyser. There was a few moments of blissful flight, the wind whipping through her hair. She felta tingle of pleasure from where her flower was embedded, and then there was a splash and she was sinking into the water. Nearer the geyser the water was so much deeper, but swimming was a pleasant strain as her super strength found no issue with the powerful current.
She was curious to find that what was swimming through the water was not just one type of thing. There were creepy looking fish ladies, evil frog like creatures, a couble somethings with tentacles, and most of these things had razor sharp teeth.
After a rather large thing came over to try and make her a snack and got a punch into a car, most things gave her a berth as she swam almost right up to the geyser. She had to come up for air eventually, it just felt uncomfortable after so long, but after a long gulp of air, she went back down to try and find where all the water- not to mention the creatures, were coming from.
What she found was a large bit of tubing, probably fashioned in the shape of a giant ring. When she tried to tuch the thing it shocked her and there was a flicker of something in the middle of the geyser. Of course, at that exact moment, said geyser played a particularly good trick, and the current shifted, sweeping Mina into the geyser and up.
Mina didn't even have a chance to scream as she found herself being hurtled down to streetlevel from several stories high.
And then there was a weird laughing and she was plucked out of the air and then suddenly there was solid ground beneath her feet and the diminutive Doctor Maniacal was standing beside her, arms crossed.
"Realize I do not do this for every hero. It has nothing to do with the fact that you laugh at my jokes. You still owe me. Muwahaha!" And then he was gone... To the far end of the room where he had placed her. He laughed once more and the villian (?) was out of sight.
"Well that was odd." But not really here, nor there. Someone had built that thing. The question was, who?

Luna was thrown back again and again, each time with more force. She let out a mighty roar and dived into the water with all her stength. Cutting through the water with powerful strokes she managed to get closer to one of the lizard like fish ladies. Its errie black eyes narrowed as it lunged hissing and clawing at her. She swung her paw at the creature and felt it connect with powerful thud sending the creature tumbling through the current.
Two of the strange frog like creatures came to the fish womans aid and latched on to Luna, biting and clawing at her. She lashed back at them ripping them off of her and hurled them towards the edge of the geyser where they slowly floated upwards.
Her chest tightened from lack of air. Franticly she swam to the edge gasping. A sharp pain ripped through her leg as the fish woman from before lashed out at her. With another roar she lunged after her clamping her jaw around the womans waist.
The fish lady let out a wailing cry that radiated through the water as Lunas teeth sank through the scales, flesh, and bone.

There was very little that Ry could do. In fact, she was doing the only thing she could think of, and it wasn't going to do for very long. The water in the geyser continued to spread, but it never got any more shallow. The deepth where it entered the streets of the desert was merely becoming larger in diameter and losing none of its raging power. The store front that she had stretch over with her shadows was spilling hundreds of gallons into the underground lake beneath their facility but long term... That would be a disaster as well. Not only that, but each of the alien creatures had to be rejected from the shadow as to not destroy the delicate ecosystem that the scientist's had created there. Her chosen undertaking was some how a lot harder than she had originally anticipated.
The shadow manipulator groaned and pulled back her powers with a sharp mental tug. While the darkness retracted to her, she searched frantically for her team mates. She didn't have a clear view of what was happening and Mina at the very least would have more of an idea at this point. She usually did. A large pink polar bear slicing and dicing and serving up calamari wasn't what she wanted and the bright white hair and green outfit was suspiciously missing from the outdoors.
Ry fround and turned back to the door to inside. She dashed back down the stairs she had run up and snapped once more for people to get out of the way. With a quick step into a deep shadow within a closet space behind a sale counter, she moved to the next building. A similar approach brought her to the next, and then the next, going one building at a time to get closer to the geyser, looking out the front windows to judge her distance.
Nearly there. The dark hero shadow jumped one more time and swiftly moved out to the front, seeing the geyser tower up out of sight, thought its perfectly round entry point was of more interest. Nothing naturally made was a perfect circle. Hm. That and the missing white haired female was suddenly found. "What's going on in there? I can't dump enough water to make a dent, I need a bigger clue on what's keeping it coming." She pressed herself forward to the second story window, looking barely down into the water at the creatures below.

Mina swiped some hair out of her eyes and after blinking a few times, noticed that Ry was now in the room with her.
"There seems to be some kind of device spanning the circumference of the geyser. When I tried to touch it, it shocked me. I wasn't able to glean much more than that, the current caught me and threw me into the geyser... Doctor Maniacal saved me. Weird, I know. I don't understand it either."
Turning her attention back outside she contemplated the issue at hand. "Someone put it down there. ANd as far as villians go they normally stay close by to watch the havock created by their schemes. I think... I can disrupt the device, if you try and locate the villian."

Luna tumbled out of the geyser nearly hitting a crowd of people. They screamed and scuttled away, fearful of not only the giant tower of water but the giant pink polar bear. She shifted back to try and calm them down. There were far too many people here for them to do too much. She needed to find a way to get them all to saftey. Looking around she spotted a few bewildered police officers gaping at the water.
"We need to get these people some where safe! Have them get as far away from here as you can and set up a blockade 5 blocks around this entire area! This thing is spreading and we don't want any casulties!" The men just looked at her like she was insane. Growling she grabbed the man and faced him toward the tower of water.
"Do you have any ideas on how to get rid of it? Or the monsters inside? No? I thought so. So do me a favor and show me your worthy as a protector of this city and get these people the h*ll out of here!"
The officers fumbled to the car alerting the others in the area of what to do. as luna made her way to the next crowd of frantic civilians.
