Hello, I’m a wannabe comic artist, and I’ve been working on improving my art so now I’m trying to improve writing. I have bunches of ocs, mostly “realistic fiction”y type ones. I’m really shy about writing but I’m gonna try hard to break out of my shell. I’m looking forward to making some friends and developing some characters!

It's great that you've found your way here to the RPR! It's a great place to RP and to meet new people. There are tons of people on here who are interested in art (for those of us who can't do it, it's just looking at other peoples'
), and obviously there're people on here who love writing, too. I think I speak for us all when I say that I'm excited to help you integrate yourself in the community here, and that it's perfectly fine to be a little shy.
So I can see that you've already made a character, which is awesome. This site is actually pretty nice for getting started. You could (if you want
) take a look at this link to get some tips on creating character profiles. Once you've got that down, you can head over to the "Find RP" tab at the top of the screen, or even over to the "Looking for RP" forum through the "Forums" tab. There, you can start your own RP or reply to one that someone's already proposed. If you want to, you can also check out the live OOC chat if you're wanting to make some friends. 
(Also, since you're interested in art, you could check out our "Art and Creativity" forum, also found in the "Forums" tab.)
(And you might also like the "General RP" forum, as well.
So that's about the gist of it. This site is great for helping newbies get set, but if you do have any questions, don't hesitate to ask anyone on here. Like me. You could also ask the all-knowing search bar at the top of the screen. There are articles on just about anything you can think of. Like this helpful help article. If you still have a question after exhausting all of those resources, you can make a post on the "Help Forum," or you could message Kim or one of the moderators.
