Starlight's Kiss:

An object of pure light. Extremely rare and valuable, but hasn't been seen in centuries after the third sun's explosion in 1898. Thus creating a barrier around the earth's surface and preventing any from falling.


Present time:1934

She closed the book and sat back in the large chair with a sigh. "I don't understand this. So frustrating." She rubbed her face and closed her eyes. This room held many memories and many secrets that she had put herself. The owner of this library was a father figure to her since she had not one guardian. Especially with what she was, a beast, that is all she was seen as. Though there were many of her kind in the world. Humans just could never get around something so different. Soon the nights of sleeplessness caught up to Esmee and soon she passed out in the large chair with the candles steadily burning.";

Tristen has been fascinated with the story's he readied in the library especially the ones that had adventures in them, something about it just woke something up in him that gave him the feeling of there being more to his already planed out life. Tristen is engaged to be married to a women from a very wealth family, only he doesn't know the women let alone want to marry her its all his parents doing. They believe high class should stick to there own kind which was the exact opposite of what Tristen thinks.

"That was an unbelievable adventure" Tristen said finishing Moby Dick, he had been sitting in the library all day avoiding his parents just now noticing how late it was "Can't wait to hear mother yell me tonight". Tristen put the book back in its place and began to leave the library only to stop dead in his tracks at the sight of a women sleeping in a chair.
The candles light showed just how beautiful she was and to Tristen seeing how pretty she is as she slept he couldn't imagine how she would look awake, he walks as quietly as he could to get her not just before opening his mouth "Excuse me miss, the library is closing"

Too drowsy to realize that in fact there was someone trying to wake her up, she groaned and tried to open her eyes enough so she wouldn't fall back asleep. "What..." she groaned and opened her eyes to look at the man in front of her. She quickly stood up then fell back in her chair. Esmee was still so tired from staying up all night for two nights in a row. "Did you say it was...closing?" She rubbed her eyes with her fists.

Tristen nearly went weak at the knees when he saw her eyes open seeing a nice violet color which he wasn't expecting at all, he began to spoke even though he was a little at a lost for words "Uhh..ye..yess..believe it is, even though I can never tell the difference in this place it never has to many people here" Tristen said not looking away from her for a second thinking he would miss something.
"If you want I could walk you home it is pretty late?"

A human. Wants to walk her home? Maybe it was too dark for him to see that she was just a beast. "I would cause trouble in your life if I did. If someone saw you with a beastkind, rumors may spread." She shook her head and stood up again, her ears coming into view. Wobbling as she moved to place a hand on a desk to steady herself she looked down at the book. Grabbing it and holding it close she slowly made her way past him, but ending up leaning against the door frame. Help would be wonderful, but by a human's hands...she would never hear the end of it.

Tristen couldn't tell with such little light that she wasn't human, to anyone else Tristen guessed this would scare them, However, to him it wasn't a big deal. Tristen was scared, but after reading so many books about so many different type of creatures this wasn't all that different.
Tristen saw as the women began to move past him not paying him any mine, he saw as she stumble a bit holding on to the door frame making Tristen react "Please miss let me help you" he said holding on to her other arm feeling the warmth it was giving off "No matter what your are miss your still a lady and should be treated as such"

She closed her eyes, her head leaned against the door. If he wanted his life to be ruined..."Very well....thank you, I would be grateful of your assistance...Mr.?" she turned and looked back at him. To what she needed to address him as so she wouldn't have to keep saying 'you'. Esmee held out a delicate hand to him as an invitation to help. Though her mind was foggy with sleep, the emotion of shock that a human would take his time to walk home a beast was still very present.

"Godfrey, Tristen Godfrey nice to meet you and please just call me Tristen" he said almost forgetting what his name was by just looking at her. Tristen grabs her hand she extended out to him, he still tried coming to grips with what she was not showing any sign of fear or disgust for in actuality he wasn't either of those things.
Tristen open the shop door leading the women out and feeling the cool night air on him, turning to the women "A you, what do I call you?"

The wind picked up as they went outside, lifting her hair around her face. "Esmee. I don't have a last name." the night was beautiful with all its many stars to decorate the dark velvet. "But I do come from a place called Lunarwood ." she gave him a small smile and looked at the path they were traveling. she lived near the woods but she placed on going the rest of the way by herself.

"Esmee... thats a very nice name and your from Lunarwood? I've lived in this place my entire life and I've never once heard of a place called Lunarwood, it must be pretty far from here" Tristen said guiding her through the streets while feeling the breeze of the night. He saw her give him a faint smile making him do the same, as they walked on he could tell that they were heading towards the woods "Esmee you live near the woods, not something your see a lot around here with all the dangers you hear of it now and again...would you like me to walk you to your home?"

"I would rather not see you hurt." she looked at him with concern. "If you did get injured not only would bad rumors be spread about me, but you wouldn't want to be near any of my kind ever again." Esmee didn't want someone who was as nice as he was to her, stop talking with her because she failed to warn him of the danger of the woods. "Especially me." She frowned. Her eyes watched the path at a downcast.

"Esmee You don't like well, you look very tired and need to be in bed right away" Tristen said looking up the path to her home, it was definitely not a path he would go at night or the day not just from the rumors he heard it was also just the way the path gave off an unstinting feeling. Tristen inhaled then exhaled before looking at Esmee "If you rather me leave then help you I will do as you wish, but if I had the choice miss I would risk it to help you" he said looking in her eyes "So what will it be Esmee?"

"I guess." maybe no one would see. It could finally be a time where she could trust someone else...and not be alone. "It could be fun. If you feel like walking in the dark ." She took a step forward."But...make sure you don't let go or you will be lost. Never will you get out." As she finished speaking the words, the fog became thick. "If you ever decide to come here alone,always follow the moon. It will lead you out."

The fog became thicker and thicker the closer they got to the woods, so thick you could barley see a couple of feet in front of him. Tristen liked that Esmee explained to him how to get into and out of the woods, to him it meant that she liked him enough to let him comeback and see her. Tristen heard the rustling of bushes around him knowing well enough that it wasn't just the wind moving them they were being watch by more then one creature, he felt as if he should have left a long time ago seeing how these things are everywhere.

"Can't wait to see who your home looks, it must be something compare to this place"

She didn't respond but she did laugh just enough for him to hear. The creatures in theses woods wouldn't come out to harm her. She had already proven her worth. But for a human to come into these woods was something entirely different, but seeing how he was with her, they wouldn't bother them. Or so she hoped. "It's not much further. We are almost..." She yawned and her eyes became heavier. "...There."

"Esmee are you alright" Tristen said as he stop to take a closer look at her, she was clearly very tired and could possible go on. Tristen picked her up cradling her in his arms while taking a look around "I don't know where you live, but I do know where I live", he turned around and began to walk out of the woods back into the town keeping to the alleys as to not be seen by the people.
Tristen arrived to his house at the end of town a house so big since he was born Tristen had never been in every room "Now all I have to do is get you pass mother without being seen"

She thought she could hear her wayward son trying so unsuccessfully to ceep in unnoticed. She knew that he had directly disobeyed her again by staying out so late but she found herself not angry but disappointed. The yelling match could be sloped tonight and she hoped to dream of a better solution to make her willful son see reason.

Tristen saw the light still on downstairs in the living room not having to guess who was already in there waiting for him, he walka around the house to the backdoor with Esmee still cradled in his arms. Slipping in as quite as possible he closes the door behind him and begins to walk up the second staircase closes to his room, avoiding all of the maids and butlers after getting up the stairs he finally reaches his room opening the door and placing Esmee on his bed.

"I'll be right back to check up on you, I have to deal with mother" he said leaving her side, opening the window to his room Tristen climbs down the vines near his window and runs to the front door. Tristen fixes himself before opening the door, he opens to find his mother in the living room as he thought.

She didn't realize when she had passed out or where she was now for the matter, but she knew that she wasn't at her house. Rolling over in a bed she wasn't familiar with, she decided she would figure it out later when her brain was clear of this sleepy haze.
