A young woman walked towards the woods. Her blonde hair up in little pigtails on the top of each side of her head and her Sailor Suit; which was a school uniform was slightly dirty, her white blouse smudged with dirt as her blue skirt was too.
She knew she shouldn't be walking towards the woods. She has heard of mysterious creatures there. Nikko paused in her tracks, re-thinking the whole thing over. She shook her head and turned around. starting to walk away from the woods. Just then, she heard a door open beside her, at a house. She turned her head slightly and saw a young man standing there, standing tall. He must be tired, its so late at night. She turned her head back and continued walking slowly forwards.

"Good evening son. You're late." She said it as though she didn't really care that he had been late. Maybe pretending not to care would coax him into opening up more than her anger.
"I apologize mother, but certain things came up and I needed to stay out a bit longer" Tristen said with his arms at his sides, he always remembers what he was taught about being a gentlemen when talking with his mother, it was the only way to get her from getting off his back.
Tristen knew that what came first from his mother was calm demeanor would follow her at some point criticizing his life choices "I see your still awake, you know you didn't have to what up for me?"

Voices. Where are those voices coming from? Pulling the covers off of her she looked towards the doorway. She got off the bed and made her way towards it. Hearing a woman's voice along with that familiar male voice who she knew to be the man who walked her home. Would the lady be furious that such a being was in her safe haven. her home?
"I know. You know that don't yell at you because I hate you right. I just want you to be successful, to want for nothing, and then you can worry about being happy. It would all work out for you if you could only listen to me," she said in an exasperated tone.
"That's all I ever do is listen to you, you rather me stay locked in this house all day then experience life outside of it thinking that the commoners treats will rub off on me." Tristen said still standing in the same spot just in front of the staircase. Tristen couldn't help, but look up them every now and then just in case Esmee woke up beginning to wander around.
"I've done as you ask, I'm marring this girl my life is being planned right before my eyes with you leading it" he said with his eyes to the floor.

"I don't want to have this discussion again. You will be home on time from now on," and with the final word she left the room in the direction of her bedroom.
"...Yes mother" Tristen said with his eyes to the floor showing it a frustrated face. When his mother reached the top of the stairs Tristen ran to the back staircase wondering what Esmee condition was, he pushes the door in to see her up and around before his eyes "Well...I didn't expect you to be up so fast after fainting back in the woods, how are you?"
"I just heard voices...and still tired." her mouth opened to a small yawn as she turned towards the bed and crawled back in. curling up in the blankets, she closed her eyes and listened. "If you sleep here I can move to the floor. I don't want to take away your bed." She looked back at him with her purple and red hue eyes. Her blond hair laid in ringlets around her small frame. Her ears were drooped cause of her tiredness. "Certainly not for a beast."
"Its fine for me to sleep on the floor and for a Lady...to sleep in my bed" he said emphasizing lady, Tristen took his shoes off and grabbed some extra sheets from the cupboard laying them on the floor. "Why is it that you think of yourself so much more of a beast then a women?" he said laying a pillow on the floor "You've done that since I've meet you.
She thought about how to say what she felt. "Because in this world where humans rule and govern how things are, beastkind are nothing but monsters." she pulled the covers up close to her chin and rolled over. There was more to it than that but she didn't want to share something that personal then.
*Thud thud* "Tristan, are you up? I nearly time for breakfast." Marina called through the door. "I swear that boy..." they could hear her mumble as she walked away.
Tristen Immediately jumps after hearing those knocks at his door not, because of Esmee sleeping in his bed, but he knew only one person would do that at this time. Tristen stands up getting dressed in a way that won't have his mother criticizing what he was wearing, he grabs a pen and paper writing a note for Esmee
"Stay put, I'll bring you some breakfast"
Setting the note on the pillow next to her Tristen could see that Esmee really looked normal while she slept, he just couldn't figure out why she didn't think so. Running down the stairs greeting the maids and butlers as he did Tristen stops running just before walking into the dining room with his mother sitting at her usual spot on the right side of the head of the table.
"Good mourning mother" he said sitting down on the left side "You look beautiful this mourning".

Esmee woke a few minutes later and rolled over. Stretching and yawning before pausing to look at where she was. Sitting up now as she tried to remember why she was not home. Though the reason became clear once more when she saw the letter that was left. Picking it up now she read the hurried scribbles written there.
"Breakfast..." her stomach growled as if to reply to the word. Groaning to herself she laid back down and ducked under the covers again. She was most definitely NOT a morning person. After all, her kind preferred the night than the bright sun. Their eyes was so much more sensitive.
Smells floated into the room soon enough to make her thoughts travel back to that wonderful word. Food. But she did as she was told, not wanting to cause trouble among the house that seemed to be like a bee hive, always swarming with people going which way and that. Just more...whats the word? Hurried? Not organized at all.

"Good morning. Did you intentionally dress like a slob or were you in such a hurry you didn't check to see if your buttons were done properly?" She said it almost without looking up. "This morning, after you finish your fencing lesson, you are expected at the Chanray estate's east stable for a riding date with your betrothed. I suggest you be quick with your meal."
Tristen smiled as his mother told him his buttons weren't done probably "At least you said good mourning" he whispered under his breath just before standing to fix his buttons. Tristen sat back down seeing all the food on the table putting some on his plate and carefully putting some in his napkin on his lap so his mother wouldn't see. After hearing that his day was planned out for him once again he looked at his mother "No!, mother I have plans today some that are very important" he said immediately think of Esmee.
The loud shout from downstairs startled Esmee from the bed and almost out of the bedroom. But she had forgotten that she was told to stay put and immediately pulled her hand away from the door. Sighing she sat cross legged on the floor and closed her eyes, meditating and calming herself.
"Oh. Please do tell me what plans you could have that are so important? Because when I go and explain to that poor girl that you don't think she is important enough to change a few schedules she will be humiliated. Arthur is already here for your lesson and he changed his whole day so he could chaperon you and Miss Chanray, you wouldn't want that to go to waste."
Mother knew every way to make him feel like crap for not doing what she asked and Tristen couldn't exactly answer her question, saying he had to some how deal with the girl hiding in his room. Tristen wraps up the napkin full of food in his lap and begins to eat some of his not wanting to raise questions from mother, "Fine, I'll head to class as soon as possible and I'll will greet Miss Chanray on time, but Arthur does not need to chaperon I am not a child mother"
Tristen sat there for awhile in silence with his mother with the head of the table empty, his father was always working which Tristen thought was one of the reasons why his mother was so hard on him. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get ready for class" he said standing then walking backwards with the food behind him "I'll see you at dinner"

"Thank you, Tristan." she said without looking up still. "You're excused."
