Alright, so there's been this RP setting spooking through the misty corners of my brain for quite a while, and I recently thought of it again.
I've got a character, Caelius Strongarm, who is an outcast mercenary. Used to run in a warband, but went solo on contracts for a series of kings and lords. Then something happens (for example volcano eruption) or anything like that. This will be set in a greek scene, or at least a world with a culture similar to taht of the ancient greeks. Demons will erupt from the Volcano and start overrunning the country/world. Seen that we are in a greek setting - they will expect Hydra's, Manticores and Cerberus and the like, but instead they'll get a series of demons and devils they've never seen or heard of, which means they quickly fall in disarray and despair, searching for a way to survive if possible. Mercenary bands thrive for as long as they live.
Caelius, being a grumpy mercenary, dislikes company. However (and this is the kind of character I'm looking for) He will be forced to 'drag' along a woman slighly younger than him. I was thinking this to be a sort of fair-type lady, all bright and not used to all this fighting. It's not forbidden to be able to hanndle herself in a fight - she's just not used to it. Her character can be what you want it to be, may that be calm or active, it's your call. At first Caelius will dislike her heavily as they travel from one survivalist camp to another, constantly on the move again to escape the large horde that overruns each camp they find. Eventually they'd realize running isn't possible so they decide to go on a suicide mission and take out the problem at its core... A romance may bud from this RP, but I wouldn't let that happen too soon. After all, Caelius is the working-alone-type.
