Tolora zeroed in on the spot that the rustling came from and an inhuman growl ripped from her mouth. "It won't have it for long." She sprinted at the spot, shifting into her tiger form mid-stride. She let loose a fearsome roar and pounced.
What Jazmine saw startled her. She accidentally jumped 10t into the air and landed on a tree branch. She watched from above, as Tolora and the mysterious figure fought. As blood splattered on the ground, Jazmine's eyes widened in fear. She tried to fight the inhuman beast inside her yet again. Jazmine fought as hard as she could, but it was too much blood and too long since she fed. She jumped gracefully down and started licking the pool of blood that had formed on the ground. Oh man, I hope she doesn't see me like this. I really liked her.
Tolora was too wrapped up in her fight to see Jazmine licking up the blood. It was a nue, a fearsome creature with the body of a tiger, head of a monkey and a snake for a tail. There was scores of jagged tears on both of them, staining Tolora's white and black striped fur. She had torn the snake tail off the nue after being bitten so many times as she fought with the main part of the body. She finally killed it and walked away from the body.
She shifted back to her human body and winced as she picked up the dagger. She firmly stuck it in it's sheath and turned around. Then she saw Jazmine. Her eyes widened. "I thought you were a cat...?"

Jazmine looked up to see Tolora looming over her, looking suprised. "I-I-i am..... i-im al-also......" Jazmine stampered nervously. "A va-va-vampire......" Jazmine was terrified. She looked into Tolora's eyes trying to see how long she would have to live before Tolora tried to kill her like the rest.... Why does nobody like me?
She nodded, as if it was the most normal thing in the world. "Hey, us non-humans have to stick together right?" She joked.
Jazmine was taken aback at this statement. "So you don't hate me?" Jazmine asked nervously.
"Of course not. Why would I hate you? What you are isn't something you can choose. We just have to make the best of it." She remembered her mother saying the same thing to her, when she realized that not everyone could change their form like she could.
Jazmine smiled gleefully and put her hand into Tolora's. "So where are we going now?"Jazmine replied.
"Anywhere but here. And fast. Those things have been following me since the day my mom died." She looked at Jazmine. "Would you mind riding on my back in y tiger form?"
Jazmine shook her head no, and looked at Tolora with a renewed understanding. She does like me Jazmine thought gleefully as a smile spread across her face.
Tolora shifted to her tiger form and crouched down while Jazmine crawled on. She ran back through the woods, feeling exhilerated as the land sped past. They left the forest and she turned on one paw and followed the treeline. He should be somewhere around here... This is where I told him to wait.
Markal was climbing a tree and was almost to the very top when he spotted a streak of white coming in his direction. "Took her long enough." He said to himself and he jumped down from branch to branch. He shifted to his orange tiger form. He was younger than Tolora so he looked like more of a cub but he knew how to keep up. Is there a girl on her back? Markal ran out of the trees and immediately matched her pace.
Jazmine suddenly saw an orange tiger join them shortly. She wasn't afraid because she could sense his hostility if he were trying to kill them. Jazmine put her head on Tolora'a soft fur and fell asleep instantly.
Tolora twitched her ears when she saw Markal. It didn't look he'd gotten into trouble, but you could never know with him. They ran at a steady pace until Tolora saw an abandoned den and decided to stop and sleep there for the night. Markal was tiring out and he fell asleep after he circled the ground a few times and curled up. Tolora gently walked in and laid down next to him, trying not to wake up Jazmine.
When Jazmine woke up it was the middle of the night and she could hear screams from somewhere nearby. Getting up as quietly as she could, she went to the edge of the den and peaked out. What she saw horrified her. She saw men walking along the streets dragging girls much like herself into a large caravan. Jazmine decided that this was verry mean so she quietly snuck out of the den and headed to the town nearby. By the time she got there the men had almost all the girls into the caravan. Just as she was wondering how she would save them all, rough hands came over her mouth and around her arms, and a deep voice rang into the silence. "Sir I found one that was trying to sneak away, should I whip her?" Jazmine quaked with fear as he dragged her nearer and nearer to the caraven. "No, we need all the girls in perfect shape for the trade. Just knock her out for now." The other man replied. Just as Jazmine was about to bite into the guy holding her's hand, she felt a heavy blow to the back of her head before she fainted.
Tolora heard screams and her eyes snapped open, her ears flicked forward. She looked around and saw Markal had woken up too. Where was Jazmine?? She ran out, a feeling of dread spreading through her. She ran to the caravan and shifted into her human form. "What's going on here?"
One of the men jumped. "Look ma'am, this has nothing to do with you." He thought she was human. She saw one of the men putting Jazmine into the caravan.
"Well, that's where you're mistaken." She jumped at the man and shifted into her tiger form, ripping and tearing with tooth and claw.

Markal woke up at almost the same exact time Tolora did. He ran out after her, but shifted to his human form and rapidly climbed up a tree nearby. He readied his kasarigama. Perfect time to test it out.
He watched as Tolora approached one of the men, then attack him. On cue, he jumped down pressing the button that released the chained end. It wrapped around one of the men and the heavy end swung around to crush his chest. Markal pulled a certain way and the chain came loose and retracted. Without missing a beat, he attacked the next closest man with the scythe end.

Jazmine woke up, surrounded my little nine year old's like herself. She could hear a loud fight outside the caravan that was bothering her ears. Just as she reached for the door to see what was going on, one of the girls grabbed her and hauled her backwards just as the caravan lurched forward. Jazmine screamed at the top of her lungs the only person who has been there for her so far. "TOLORA!!!!! TOLORA PLEASE HELP ME!!!" she cried as she got farther and farther from the noise with tears streaming down her face.
Tolora heard Jazmine screaming for her. She tried to run towards the caravan but she was surrounded by the men now. She attacked with greater ferocity, acting much like a mother tigress. The caravan was getting farther away and she tried with desperation to break free. These men were no match for her, but there were too many. She wouldn't be able to free herself in time.
Suddenly she saw Markal's kasarigama's chain wrap around a ledge on the caravan. He ran faster than a human boy his age would've been able to and jumped on to it, swiftly dispatching one man after the other. And that was the last thing she saw before the caravan went out of view.

Jazmine heard a thud on the caravan. Quietly eased her way to the window just as a man about 30 soared past it and landed beside the caravan with a sickening thud. She couldn't see who was beating up all these people but she quietly hoped Tolora would come and get her soon... She was terrified for the first time in her life again.
