Man I saw this idea on a forum and i'm laughing so hard imaging how terrible this could be.
For those who don't know, Ginosaji is a character from the short film:"The Horribly Slow Murderer with the Extremely Inefficient Weapon" by Richard Gale ((GONNA WARN NOW FOR SOME VIOLENCE, IF YOU DECIDE TO WATCH IT-- DECIDED TO NOT INCLUDE A LINK AFTER ALL)) aka an immortal murderer with a spoon. It is the SINGLE most amusing villain concept ive stumbled upon, and after some reasearch and inspiration seeking, I came across a plot: "The ginosaji is attacking someone who offers the players money to save him." This will involve both action and honestly idek I just need to get this idea out of my brain. It's 4 AM and I can't sleep.
"A spoon...?" You repeat back slowly to the visibly shaken man in front of you, who warily scans the background of the room.
"Yes, I already said that! Please, you've got to help me! I'm losing my mind!"
Normally you wouldn't take such a ridiculous quest, but this man has called together a group of formidable warriors- from paladins, to Knights, rouges and sorcerers, and it's very clearly something important to him. He insists he's being attacked- a murder target, he claims, through stutters. And his attacker....is a man with eerily pale skin and deep, dark eye sockets, wielding a weapon you assumed was so fearsome that the victim seems to shake recalling it- until he finally managed to spit out the word "spoon." This fact drove away half of his fearless warriors who had much more important things to do than fight against a man with silverware as his defense.
Either way, this man is offering way more money than you could get from risking your neck on a battlefield, and you're starting to get curious about this strange looking shadow that's watching from outside the window....
This could definitely be some character building if you want. I honestly don't know where this is going to go entirely- perhaps you'll find a way to eliminate the immortal murderer, or perhaps you'll eventually give up and this man will spend the rest of his natural born life being mercilessly tapped with a wooden spoon by a creepy looking man in a hood. I just needed to see this in ACTION. This is the single most true to my personality plot I have ever posted and im laughing STILL.

Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.
Iron age
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, one-off scene.
Ooh! Pick me! This sounds like it'll be hilarious.
Is it alright if I use a character who doesn't have a page here? She's a proud assassin who wanted to break from the family business and see the world on her own terms. Knows a bit of magic, but it's all utility spells and buffs/debuffs. Mostly uses knives and her favorite shortsword.

ABSOLUTELY! I think she'll be a perfect fit
I've been showing my friends the short film and telling them about the plot, and now one of my other friends is thinking of bringing it into his next DND campaign-- I can only imagine how hilarious that would go.

Nice! I hope it either baffles and horrifies, or sends the party into an uncontrollable fit of giggling.
Ahahah, this is such a fun idea for a plot! I'd love to join if your still looking for people?

Absolutely! I’m waiting for just one more person before we start up
Hey yall; I apologize, but I won't be starting this plot. Some stuff has come up and I'm going to be absent for a little while (refer to my bio if you're curious); sorry for the trouble this may cause or for getting anyones hopes up. You're welcome to run this plot on your own if you so prefer, though.
