Sup all. I was wondering if anyone has ever attempted to write their own setting for roleplaying, and if so, what was the process you went through, and how do you decide the theme and tone of the world. I've been in the process of writing my own for a while now and I'm in the process of writing what people call a setting bible and I honestly just lack the proper words or information required to describe it without just linking things back to books and movies, and I'd rather have an actual definition and term for the types of stories I'm looking to tell.

Any help or advice would be happily accepted.
