Greetings! So, I'm looking for someone to play as a character (Your OC) in this underdeveloped world of mine. I say underdeveloped because I've got a kind of setting already, but I'm unsure what plot I'd like to fuse in with it. I want to try to expand the idea more, add plot twists here and there, and I'm open to suggestions too! So here goes.
Burlington's Magic
Witches, wizards and magic is everywhere. And, no, not like the British with all their muggles and wands and school, telling everyone that you can't learn magic if you weren't born with it. Because you can. It doesn't matter whether you had someone from your family tree who used magic, not at all. And that's what's so great, it doesn't matter where you came from, what type of person you are, you get to be able to use magic, as long as you have the drive to.
In Burlington, Vermont, where tourists trample the streets by day and night, there is magic present in at least once corner of its streets. You never know, you could be walking, going about your business and not be knowledgeable about the magic-driven person beside you. Isn't that exciting? Little shops tucked away amongst the ordinary, boring ones, but with more to them than they seem. Sparkling, magical waters filled with witches visiting at night, collecting for whatever concoction and practicing their skills. Homes with spots of magic lingering with them. Will you be a tourist, trying to solve the mysterious society that seems to reside here? Or will you be one of the many lurking witches and wizards, placing yourself in the shadows, or, better yet, acting as a magician? Burlington can fulfill your hungry imagination and thirst for the magic, so what are you waiting for?
For now, I'm just looking for a 1x1 with me as the DM, but if you'd like for someone else to join, a friend or someone else who commented, then feel free to tell, me!

Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.
Modern
Distant war may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat will likely be summarized, not played out in detail.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.
Hey hi hello!
Seems interesting! I'm not the biggest fan of Harry Potter and similar stories, but I am a sucker for rich worlds with lots of detail!

Oh! Well, I'll clarify just in case, this is in modern times (with tech, phones, etc, etc.) and the story+plot is still underdeveloped, if you're interested I'll start off^^
Absolutely! through inbox? feel free to pm me regardless however!
