The wind bellows through the thick green trees, blocking out the sun with their immense size. Following the path, you find yourself at the mansions edge, the intimidating building looms tall over you, the image made only worse by the lack of light, despite it being daytime.
Life hasn't been easy for you, being a monster and all, humans don't typically play nice with our kind. "You're not normal" they say as they toss you out of taverns, inns and stores. You're called gross, in-human... monsters.
But this is the place. The place for monsters. Where they're safe... from humans at least.

Hey hi hello!
This is aloura mansion, a safe place for monsters of all shapes and sizes!
On the surface, this is another campy monster girl mansion role play, for sure. But if you give it a try, you'll find a deep world constructed around the concept of monsters being the minority, pushed away and shunned by humanity. Along with other horrors that lurk in the dark, the characters are forced to work together to overcome a world that's constantly out to get them, building relationships and challenging each characters individual psyche.
This role play will function as a group role play, though it will be mostly laid back in its execution, we do have some rules to follow.
1. MINIMUM 3 sentences per reply. It's all about flavour people. There is no upper limit to post length, but also try not to make the replies too long. A good reply is a couple paragraphs, though you can't always write a couple paragraphs every reply, so 3 sentences is good enough.
2. Try to engage and reply at least once a day. Naturally life happens and we can't always be active, but I feel like at least one reply a day is reasonable. If you feel like you won't be able to reply for a bit, make sure to just let someone know, or put it in the OOC section.
3. Smut is to be kept to a minimum. Though the general idea of monster girls (particularly in anime) is rather sexual in nature, I want this story to be about the world and its effects on the characters, rather than how much smut can be fit into one day. Get a room already, gawl.
4. Characters don't find this place just willy nilly- This place is found by those who need solace from the outside world, from whatever cruel fate they're running from. This world isn't kind and and you're going to be reminded of that constantly. So when you're introducing your character to the mansion- when you walk up to the front door and nervously knock- make sure you have a reason for your character to be there, other than just "I want to be here". Even the owners of the mansion have a reason to be there. No one is exempt from this.
5. When/if combat or similar scenes start, the person who initiates the scene has control over it- with the exception of myself and waffle, the person who initiates becomes the GM for that scene.
