Would you want to live in a world where everyone could read each others' minds? Why? What do you think that would be like, exactly?
No…that would be insane. Thinking about my current circumstances, people would always be asking if I am okay and that would get annoying, my parents would probably get mad at me a lot more although they might actually beleive there was something wrong with me, also imagine your n a crowded place and there are a hundred+ voices crowded into your head shouting, whispering, talking…I know I would not cope well with that.

I guess there's a reason why it's not that way. Hmmmm
Oh....but they wouldn't be asking, because they'd know already. Wouldn't that be nice if people would just know? I think it would. But maybe not...hmmm

And then there's me! I would love for that to be a thing. Sure, it could invasive, and chaotic, but consider: what if we could keep it under control? Rein it in like Jean Grey or Professor X?
Personally, I would love it so I could tell if I have actually let people down, or made them upset - I'm so much of a people pleaser, and I want to make sure everyone is okay and happy.
I do see where it can be an issue - kriff, it could even be a danger, but it still sounds really cool...now you've got me thinking about Chaos Walking and X-men and my mind wants to write!

Yay...I think that's why I wish it were true too...the people pleaser thing...wanting to know if someone is upset or not, ok or not, what they think of me, and also...i think it would be cool for people to be able to truly understand how someone feels of thinks because language can't always explain it all, you know? Plus learn how to do math through osmosis. lol. It would only work if it was thoughts+feelings not just thoughts. Just thoughts without them understanding the feelings with them, that would be scary. But if feelings were also communicated....might be cool.

Yeah, pretty much exactly like Chaos Walking! It would be incredible, honestly. It would help so much in day to day life...if someone's hurt, for example, and can't explain where, or what happened...gah, so many ideas!!!
Um, I wouldn’t have a job.
Heeeell no! The last place I want other people in is my mind. It's the only thing that is intimately connected to me and myself only. I don't want anyone there.
Also, my mind is a dark place. It would genuinely frighten or even worry some people, for different reasons. And personally, I don't want to unintentionally wander into someone's mind who's perhaps even worse than myself, someone who's a disturbed individual beyond help. I'd officially become a hermit and leave the civilization and live by myself among the trees in the mountains hahah

Well, that's true. I didn't think about the disturbed individual beyond help thing. Maybe that's why it's not that way.

That seems to be the consensus. I guess I'll destroy the blueprints for that telepathy device I was working on. lmao. Kidding.
Thanks for participating in my thought experiment.

Well now i have to look up chaos walking.
Those are good ideas btw! People in comas, too.
Chaos Walking was a book that I read when I was about twelve or so...now there's a film coming out starring Daisy Ridley and Tom Holland, so I'm very excited for it!!!!! *fangirls*

Ok I just look it up and Ooooo...I plan on seeing that movie now too. "The Noise"...yep it's just like what I said here. "A man unfiltered."
Which also reminds me of an idea in psychology...sorta...called The Collective Unconscious, which Carl Jung came up with that says all humans are connected at a deep deep level that we're not aware of. Some people say it's the primitive memory we all share...similar evolution, so we all think the same in some ways, but the way Carl Jung describes it doesn't sound so scientific, it almost sounds more spiritual, like that he believes we all share some kind of awareness at the very deepest most unconscious levels...that we're all connected. I believe it, too! If you've ever had a dream about a friend and then they call you...things like that. I think it's because people's minds are connected somehow. Sorry got off on a tangent! Reining it in now...
But yep watching for that movie now!!

Lol, it sounds like Carl Jung is Force sensitive...Star Wars nerdiness aside, that sounds so freaking cool! I've never thought about it that way, but I totally see what both he and you are getting at!
I'd prefer for it to be like Sense8 where everyone is in a cluster of eight sensates that they can visit and talk to telepathically; and also sensates know everything that the other sensates in their cluster know about and stuff. So, if one person is from germany can speak german, that means all the sensates know german because they are connected to his mind, and if another person can kick box, then all the others also can kick box.
