Sidian (played by ReyaMorningkill)

The road from West March had been long but Sidian believed she had made good time considering the events from the night before. Something had fallen from the sky, rumors of a fallen star. People all over Sanctuary seemed to know of this star and it's decent on New Tristram. She followed the old road, her large ears suddenly picking up the sound of something just ahead. The clang of metal. With haste she moved forward and found a single solider outside the locked gates of the town. She was easily 20 feet from the canine struggling to hold off what appeared to be the undead. A smirk crossed her lips as she pulled one of her hand crossbows from her hip and fired. Just as quickly her other hand crossbow was put into action and with a few shots Sidian was able to down the vile beasts that had attacked the now very surprised looking dog. He motioned to her to come closer and without hesitation she moved to greet him with a smile and friendly tilt of her head.

"Well I certainly wasn't expecting help but thank you lady Demon Hunter."

"My pleasure. It's my duty to cleanse this world of such vile abominations."

"It's been bad here recently. I took 15 furs out to attempt to eliminate these wretched mothers but..." A pained look crossed the Labrador's face as he took in a deep breath and continued. "I was the only one to come back."

"I am truly sorry for your loss."

Before either of them had a chance to say anything else one of the nearby barricades crashed down, at least 20 zombified furs now coming towards them. Sidian chittered happily as she fired off a shot that connected and rekilled what at one point had been a cat of some kind. She fired again and again but the dead seemed to be getting closer faster then she and the dog could take them down.
An bloodcurdling roar erupted near the tree line up the road from Sanctuary followed by the sounds of heady stomping that could be heard approaching quickly. From the darkness that had enveloped the countryside, a large lion emerged with a massive hammer raised above his head, charging an undead antelope and bringing the giant weapon down on the shoulder of the zombie. His eyes darted around the battlefield and he noted the bat and the canine and turned his attention the small horde of undead furs and positioned himself between the Demon hunter and the guard.

"City dog, are you ok?" He asked, his accent heavy and his word curt.

"A Savannah Barbarian?!" he exclaimed. "Seems that star is bringing out more than just the dead...I'm all thats left of the guard." His words were cut short as she drove his blade through the forehead of another dog.

The lion moved forward and swung in wide arc to knock back some of their foes, knowing that the Demon hunter was more than capable of handling herself and didnt know what to say to her to begin with, but saw that she was quite the shot and grinned with a deep seeded bloodlust and roared once more as he charged again.

She downed another of the undead but somehow they seemd to just keep coming, as if something was just spitting them out. Her ears picked up something in the near distance, something she wasn't eager to follow. She vaulted forward, shooting down another undead as she moved. As she got closer to where the barricade had fallen she found something troubling. There appeared to be some sort of ghoul or undead vomiting up these foul creatures.

"Disgusting." She sneered as she took aim at the puking hippo.

The first shot hit but had yet to fell the beast. She cursed and shot several more times, now worried her shots were having trouble piercing the beasts thick hide. The creature began to flee but the bat wouldn't allow such an abomination to escape. With one last decisive shot through the eye the hippopotomous fell to the ground. Sidian smo;ed as she moved back towards the gate of New Tristram where she found that the dog and lion had finished off the remaining dead.

"I'm Captain Rumford and I haven't seen anybody fight like that in ages. You should go speak with Leah, you can find her in the Slaughterd Calf Inn. Thank you mt friends. Truly thank you." He shook Sidians paw as he thanked her again, extending the same gesture to the lion. "Guards open the gate."

Sidian glanced at the massive male lion and gave a smile, her paws gracefully returning her hand crossbows to their rightful place on her hips as she extended a paw. "Sidian. Thank you for your help."
The lion laughed heartily and wrapped his arms around the guard in a warm embrace.

"Pleased to meet Captain!" the lion said as he released the dog and shook his paw. "Adale Bloodsong, former chief of the Bloodsong clan. I heard of the troubles from traders in the mountains. We will cleanse this place of the taint of darkness my brother." His smile and boisterous words carried over as he turned to the bat, holding up his large paws and wiggling his digits.

"Could never hold one of those" he said pointing to the crossbows. "You're skilled in the way of death little bat" a broad grin spread across his maw as he took her paw into his and gripped it tightly, "let up meet this Leah and have a drink, there is much to discuss here..."

She gave the lion a smile as he engulfed her tiny paw in his own and shook it. Her ears twitched absently as she gave a nod to the friendly brute in front of her.

"I agree. Much has happened here recently and these lands must be cleansed of the darkness that have come over them."

They moved towards the town, a pile of solider bodies near the front gate sending a burning rage through the tiny bat. She pressed forward to the Slaughtered Calf Inn and walked through the open door. It would appear that some of the sick and wounded had been moved into the Inn. A small lynx was leaned over one of them, tending to his wounds but she looked up when she noticed the 2 furs she had never seen before.

"Can I help you strangers?" The lynx inquired.

"We're looking for Leah, Captain Rumford sent us to find you and speak with you about the pollution of your lands."

The lynx sprang to her footpaws and offered them a seat at a table, quickly motioning foor the Inn keeper to bring over a round of drinks.

"Did you both see the star?" Sidian nodded, assuming that was why the great cat had also come to these lands. "My Uncle Deckard was under the belief that the star falling is a sign that the army of hell is coming."

Her eyes widened for a moment. "That's a pretty bold statement. I'd like to talk to your uncle myself if I could."

Leah hung her head. "We was lost in the cathedral. We were there when the star fell."
The big cat followed the canine and the bat into the city, taking note of desolation that had befallen the surrounding area and nodded at how well the wall was fortified, given how little time they had to prepare. He also took not to try to remember to show the towns people how to reinforce that wall a little better before they left the town. He heard the whispered voices of the townsfolk as they made their way to the Inn.

He could smell the stench of rot and decay in the wounds of the villagers who lay on the mats around the main room of the inn as the entered and it caused him to wrinkle his nose. These poor furs would be dead soon without medicine that he was pretty sure they didnt have.

His ears perked up as the bat spoke to the small lynx tending the wounded and nodded as she addressed them.

"Aye! And I have heard stories of your uncle... this, Deckard Cain" Adale said as they sat at the table. "Our medicine woman told stories of a church in a town called Tristram," he paused and took a deep drink from his mug and waved for another, "You're uncle is quite well known for his tenacity and intuitiveness."

His expression saddened as she told them he had been lost in the Cathedral during the fall of the star.

"Then we shall rescue him, ya?" he said, placing a large paw on the small bats shoulder. "You're uncle will be rescued my friend. Where is this Cathedral?" he asked as he downed another mug and wiped his lips with his forearm, smiling warmly at the smaller feline.
