Lisa's eyes dart up and down the imposing but dirty and ragged figure. Her gaze pauses at the sword on his hip. the healer's apprentice is no expert on swords, but this one, with its minimal hilt and thin, subtly curved blade, is a make she's never seen before. She notes that he must come from a very, very distant region. They make their swords differently elsewhere, of course.
When she lifts her eyes to meet his, the man's one red eye sends a shiver down her spine. She steels herself with a slow breath and speaks. Her voice is hushed, shaking slightly, the girl both nervous and plagued by a perpetual exhaustion of her own, as usual.
"You...you look tired. I'm sure you've somewhere to go, but I can...point you to the village inn, or if you're short on coin, my mother may be willing to shelter you for the night."

“To be honest, looking at you amazes me. When I was around in the Great War, tanks were relatively new. Forever, warfare would change. And to see the modern tank, it baffles me that the technology that once made the A7V and Mark IV tanks is so advanced.”
"The only wars that should be fought are meme wars. But, you were a brave soldier non the less."
“I feel like you’d very much enjoy one the the most...powerful nights of the year, especially if you like ladies in silk.”
"Huh? Oh, right. Nice lady. Very fancy clothes, and funny looking ears. Are they sharp?"
You're cute...Wierd, but cute.
"Sort of.. intimidating.. but I think we could be friends." (from Frisk)
"...Hold on, is that a child? ...Well, If you've got no parents, you could always join my secret, evil organization! I know what it feels like to be alone." He seemed pretty friendly right now. His childlike nature probably meant that he's been through something bad... But maybe not.
The sight was, quite frankly, unbelievable.
How had the likes of herself been thrown into a sea of such chaos and blasphemy? Mindless tides of bug eyed children in soldier's uniforms, talking tanks, freakish mutants that were part cat and part human, and then normal people who could find nothing better to do than lament on the utmost sorrow of their hideously long backstories — this was a living nightmare. It went without saying that she was one of the more mundane figures here, and that alone was concerning. Part of her thought that slowly being eaten alive by monsters would have been a better fate than this.
And what was this, now? Some child in a Party City suit rambling on about the likes of 'secret evil organizations' and how he was a supreme mastermind overlord? Katya scratched her head and wondered how she had wandered into this mess. She also wondered who would believe the claims of an eighteen year old who said he controlled terrifying mafias and special operations. This had to be an impromptu acting class she had stumbled upon. There was no other explanation.
"...Peh. Halloween was months ago. Think you're late. Your mother wants you home by curfew," she spat, exasperatedly grinding a cigarette into pulp between her teeth.

"I think you were, um... sort of.. mean.. to that other person..." They shifted uncertainly in place, looking towards the ground with a very faintly worried expression. (from Frisk)
"I think you missed the point that this isn't really about them being mean about the other person. But I wouldn't expect you to understand that; after all, you're just kids."
"Okay, can someone tell me what this is? I'm not scared of you. After all, I'm already dead... Am I? I mean, I remember the hydraulic press, but- eh, that's not the point! You just look... Stupid." He laughed.
"A little confused on the difference between life and death-" they said. "-and rude, too, but you do you."
"Oh, oh, tell me!" Jim exclaims taking a long look at his surroundings. As per his diagnosis, there were a lot of platitudinous things to consider, but nothing that hadn't already been said by this point. The criminal mastermind didn't wish to sound redundant in the least, so Moriarty opted to take things a step further instead.
"Are we all being catty now? Is this the new trend?" he inquires goadingly. "Well count me in -- nothing is more exciting than the opportunity to pin someone's flaws out in the open for everyone else to see, grab their torches and pitchforks, and join in the lynch mob of judgement. Here we go!"
His expression fell completely flat. The affable poise dwindled in favor of something unreadable, and Jim's indifferent gaze was hardly anything to go on either. "I was ninja'd, unfortunately, and had prepared an entire speech for the lad, but now I must retract my words of wisdom and start all over. C’est la vie."
"What?" he blinked. "I'm not about to lynch you! You've been through enough, I garner. It looks as if you've honed every possible skill you can muster to do what needs done, but you're frightened by your life choices, have far too many objectives, and oftentimes you are overwhelmed by your obligations."
Moriarty shrugs. "As I said before; c’est la vie."

"Everyone seems like an idiot now. So I'll just call you one too! You never even get to me on time! Although, what can I say? I must draw a lot of attention, huh?... Eh, but that's enough about me!... I think. I mean, I'm not scared of you, 'cause I'm already dead!" He laughed yet again.
“Then allow I, DIO, to send you back to Hell, child. In the end, that is what you are, a mere child below me, DIO, who has the power to rule The World!”
"Not a very poignant first impression," James says, unimpressed by the youth's behavior.
"I was going to share with you the secrets to being a leader of men, like yours truly here, but it has come to my attention that it would be a waste of both our time."
Jim crosses his arms and regards the budding menace to society with a frown. "You repress your sadness to an unhealthy degree, vent and exude your frustrations on others when you could be building your empire through charm and finesse. Rather you spout prepubescent insults at everyone who remotely uncover your insecurities and you're hardly the ruling type. You're more a confused and distraught child than anything else."
"I certainly hope I was helpful," the criminal smiles imperiously.
(Got ninja'd because I like narrative -- skip at your leisure. Man, I gotta quit being in depth. 😅)

“Between a legendary criminal and an obnoxious freak…THAT’S where I end up? Between Moriarty and DIO, really? It’s official, you guys made my head spin…”
"said the actor to the bishop i mean have you looked in a mirror you anime song copyright infringement disaster?"
