"Ether bullets? What? That doesn't make much sense..."

"I shall explain it, ether is the main component of all life in Alrest. It is also typically weaponised in Blades and other forms of technology. Think of ether bullets as working similar to a sort of laser rifle."

"What en the name o' Yggdrasil es a 'lay zer'?"

"A highly advanced form of technology, think of it as a concentrated beam of light."

"Ah er... think Ah 'ad a bit too much te drink, or else mah eyesight's worsenin' in mah old age... But mah nose works and ye don't 'xactly smell right either..." Berry's eyes screwed up as she tried to get a closer look at Alvin, squinting so tightly they appeared shut.

"This person seems good enough...but she kind of reminds me of a few customers I serve. She also seems kind of manly too...it's a bit strange but the clothes she wears and her personality somewhat give me the vibe."

"Ahh...a most curious case of mistaken identity I see..."

"Pfft. Aw, hell... Yet another deity t' brighten up my day jus' a lil' more than usual. Wonderful." Lexi's animated swaying of her body, over-exaggerated movement of her arms, and rolled eyes around the words "another" and "wonderful" reeked of irritated sarcasm. Perhaps she held a little bit of self-loathing for her own immortality at the moment? Or maybe she really has seen one too many deities or deity-like creatures during her career as an agent? Who knows with the feisty female anymore?

"But uh, fer real there, sweet cheeks, take it easy on us all, yeah? Life's too gotdamn long fer er'ryone t' be ol' sticks in th' mud. Or uh, too short fer sum o' us, hm?" A sly grin spread across her cheeks as if she just told a hilarious inside joke to someone she knew... Even though the person in front of her was clearly a stranger she had never seen before in her life.

"The only thing 'short' I see here, is an opportunity...Just sayin'."

"Excuse the #@&$ outta you? Did y'all jus' crack fun of my height of all thin's?!" Seems like the phoenix had a clear sore spot for her size... Or any possible mention of her being short for that matter. "Aw, hell naw, okay? It is on, ya lil' metallic ragamuff'n rat doll!"

William just shakes his head and watches taking a swig of his whisky and watches the strange people. “This is interesting “
