Hello, I'm Malachite, and I'm new here. I joined up so I could join a specific group, but what's the point in making an account if you only use it for one thing? I'd like to find RP here outside of just that group, as well. I've been RPing for at least seven years now, if I remember right, so I've got some stories under my belt. I'm mostly a free-form RPer, but I'm willing to do dice rolls or stat up my characters. I don't usually do multi-paragraph replies, because I often end up feeling like I'm filling it up with useless fluff instead of valuable substance. I can do combat, but I usually like to work out the details (who's likely to win, the scale of injury allowed, etc.) OOC before the fight begins. I like both fantasy and sci-fi, but I'm not the biggest fan of realistic or historical fiction. I am fine with violence/gore and swearing, but I'm uncomfortable with sexual things. I rarely RP relationships because of this.

I'd like to know more about the general kind of RP that goes on here. Is most of the RP fandom or original, free-form or with dice/stats, specific gaming systems or just posting and replying? What level of activity is expected? What's the general community vibe?

I currently have more fandom characters for fantasy and more original characters for sci-fi, but that can change because I tend to make a lot of characters. I don't have any pan-fandom, all-purpose characters or self-inserts, but I could try to make one if need be. I'd probably need some guidance in that regard.

My current fandoms include The Elder Scrolls, Homestuck, Star Wars, Pokémon, Dragon Age, Mass Effect (I'm new to it but I love it so far), and Madoka Magica. I like high fantasy, modern/urban fantasy, space operas, biopunk, cyberpunk, and magical girls. I love RPGs, I love to read, and I love to write. I'm currently working on a couple of original stories, one of which is actually the first draft of a science fiction novel.

Secondly, the greatest thing about the rpr is that it can be whatever you want it to be- there isn't really a direction that the community has lead towards in regards to dice rolls, fandoms, etc. J personally feel that there are more original role plays that take place here, but even if that is correct there are still plenty of fandom role plays that take place too!

If you're looking for something specific, all you have to do is create a forum topic in "looking for rp", describe what you want and just wait for the people to come! Theres also plenty of options to filter your topic to help people search for something they want specifically, such as dice roll inclusion, genre information and even adult only filters.

I suggest you go to "Find RP" And create a thread and maybe someone just like you would appear and you guys can RP about what you find interesting! hope i helped
