Being a body guard has one simple rule, you keep your charge alive no matter what. Most jobs are for celebrities with attached fans. Maybe the occasional obsessed ex. Then they're the other times where a witness has a lot of heat. This was the classy introduction the police gave me when they said I'd have a body guard. Took the wrong corner and saw something I shouldn't have. Add into the mix I never keep my mouth shut and you get the picture. The police need me to identify the killer, when they find him that is. Your job is to keep me alive...
On very, very, rare occasions there may be unexplained, POSSIBLY supernatural events. Minor "environmental" magic. Perhaps implies the existence of a deity or supernatural entity. Or perhaps it's just tricks?
Modern
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
