Having seen the new Game-tag swarm my front page (by the way it looks grand) did an idea pop in my mind.

You have individual characters with game tags, witch is a quick and easy way to find like-minded characters. Yet I also find it fun to find like-minded players (as many characters tend to be anonymous).

Is it possible that you could attach Game-tags to your main profile? I like the idea of showing the many differences and influences of games I play on OOC wise, and what my characters are involved in and the possibility of finding players as well with similar game-tags.

Same could be said about the Groups you; as a player, are personally involved with.

Suggested area of placing game/group-tags would be below the players character list perhaps?

I'm also a tad hesitant about suggesting this as most of my ideas tend to be loads of work So again, sorry if that be the case but I had to give this one a go

Adding game/group tags you've given your (non-anonymous) characters to a player profile has been something I've been considering for awhile. I'm hesitant in that player profiles are pretty full of stuff already, and I'm not really sure where to safely place them without it turning into clutter.

I can imagine it could get cluttered, but its an option to show it or not. Right?

And you also have an open spot beneath the character listing (on the right hand side) that allows for the game tags to show. You could also have it look like your Kudos listing. Show a few tags with the link beneath it saying 'See all of XXXX's tags >>>>" and have it act like the separate Kudos page. I can imagine this being allot of work as well.

For people who have a lot of characters, the bottom right list of characters may be very far down the page! On your profile it would look good, Lyssic, but on profiles like mine it'd kind of get pushed far down. There are people with lists bigger than mine, too.

I'd consider allowing it to toggle like Lyssic suggested, and put the default on a "Show game/group tags" - much like on character profiles, and allowing them to be displayed (with a cap of maybe 5 or 6) on the profile if the user wishes. It could be a row on top of the Recent Activity widget, maybe? It seems the least invasive area on a busy profile to me.

How would games and groups on anonymous characters be handled?

Well, adding all the tags of all your characters means you may have double of the same tags? Food for thought maybe, but to add the tags to your profile manually? Like you would do with your individual characters? I guess adding them manually to your profile would keep the anonymous character tags.. anonymous.. As you then have the choice to show what you want to show.

And Sanne, totally forgot that some may have allot (and I have allot too, plenty of anonymous ). And what you suggested, it being above the activity list would also look good without it being too busy for the profiles. I like that one better than what I suggested actually.

It seems like a tragedy of usability to me if we force people to repeat all of their work, when it is so easy to automate. I can filter out anonymous characters automatically, and duplicates, too.
