I'm only 5'. xD A lot of my characters are shorties, like me, but a couple of them are really tall. c:

Unless it plays a part racially or is otherwise important to the character, I don't put much thought into height and usually put them around 5'6 regardless of sex, which makes a lot of them shorter than me. Though skimming through them again, I do find it kinda funny both my current tallest (6'5) and shortest (3'4) characters are female.

I definitely notice a trend wherein many tend to stick to their own height range out of comfort reasons. i.e. It's easier to RP a character who sees the world from your height.

But many also aren't afraid to expand beyond this comfort zone and go all the way. 7-8 feet tall, or truly short at not even 4 feet.

For those who have characters drastically different from their own height, do you find it difficult to adjust your perspective to your character's when you roleplay with them? What are things you regularly run into?

Crisis is the only one I constantly have trouble adjusting to, and he isn't even my tallest character. The thing is, he doesn't really act tall. His personaltiy would fit someone much shorter and broader as well at it does someone 8'. Because of this, I always forget how tall I actually made him. I forget to duck under things when writing his posts and make him uncomfortable in short chairs. I play him far too average in those areas. It is something I'm working on with him.

I have to say though. Zeller, at 8'7", is really easy to remember being really tall. He's so far out of the norm for my character designs, that I never forget it. That, and his wings. I thought I would have a hard time remembering those things, but I find it hard to remember he has a tail.

Well more then half of my character's can't be counted since they are animals. As for my humanoid ones, one can't be counted since she's 5. As for the remaining ones, one is shorter and one is taller.

As to how tall they are, that really depends on the chracter and not my own personal height. However for my adult humanoid characters, their heights have yet to be either extremely shorter or taller then myself.

My female characters are my height while my men tend to be giants like... 6' and up....

Most of my guys are shorter than me expect Tell, who is 6'4" which is my height.

I tend to make my females around my own height and my males at least 5ft 10in or so with some up to 6ft. I like tall guys..

I always make my characters taller than me. I'm quite embarrassed by my height so I tend to compromise by making them quite tall!

Those few characters I've created myself are usually short, simply because they're more adorable that way.

6'0", though my younger siblings are probably going to be taller than me anyway.

The majority of my characters range from 5'-6'.
