Sometimes you are down on your luck and you need to take any job you can get. So when you find a cleaning job that pays surprisingly well, why not take it?
The Silver Garden is a hotel well known for it's paranormal activity. It's their unique selling point, even. Guests are guaranteed to experience something unexplainable or they'll get their money back.
But there's a darker side to this. The entities that haunt the place are only safe for the public because they are held in check with new warding spells every night. The people that have to do this? The cleaning crew. Many weren't told about this risky part of their job, but most are also not in the position to turn down the job, so they put up with it, especially since it's not outright dangerous.
Or it was, until now. Recently, the wards seem to become less and less effective and some of the entities seem to be following the cleaning crew home, so throwing in the towel is not an option and a solution needs to be found fast.
In short:
- The characters we play could be both employees, or maybe a guest and an employee. The former makes interaction easier, the latter brings an interesting class difference to the table.
- I'm also cool with multiple characters each if we feel that brings to life the group a little more
- I'm not too focussed on romance; if the characters have chemistry, cool, but it won't be much more than a side plot, so people that want it to be a large part of the rp are probably not going to get what they need here, sorry
- I get that you're not always gonna write a novel, neither am I, but oneliners or extremely short posts really kill my motivation quickly, so I'd like to ask you to refrain from those

Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.
Modern
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.
Sounds amazing !

Glad to hear that! Would you prefer both characters to be on the job, or one to be a guest and the other an employee? Still a bit on the fence about it myself, as the class-divide can be interesting, but one being a guest would also require a lot more effort to keep creating believable situations for them to interact, which might get tiresome in the end.

I would say a guest , Cause the guest could be a mysterious type who could know more about the hotel then it looks like , or is a spiritual type who talks with ghosts sees ghosts

I'd be more in favor of the first idea, I think, as I envisioned the entities as too feral/primal to really be talked to/properly communicated with. Maybe the guest could have experience with hauntings in general; that way they bring useful knowledge to the table and have a reason to stick around with the cleaning crew, without being too much of an easy solution.

Okay maybe that’s also a better idea.

Oh, one more thing, btw, do you prefer 1 character each, or several? More can also always be woven into the story if we feel the need to, of course.
Also, I'll set up the thread in a bit

How long responspes would You prefer me to do?
Whatever you feel is fitting. I don't ask for filler that doesn't add anything in a post, but as I mentioned in the OP, very short replies leave me little to work off of and that takes my enjoyment out of the rp quite fast.
Quality over quantity for sure, but a bit of setting building never hurts.

I Will do my best , But it’s more hard bevause i am not English so In a long paragraph post like these , it’s harder for me to understand it , so if my replies are short that’s why
Take your time. And don't worry, I'm not a native speaker either, so I understand.
Thanks
Sorry if it was to short
