What if, instead of drawing, someone dressed up as a requested character and took a picture?

Exactly! Like, instead of commissioning a drawing, you could commission a picture of someone cosplaying your character.

Sounds like it would cost a fortune to make the costume! I think I'd rather commission someone to make ME the costume, so I could take the picture.

That's very true Kim. I didn't honestly think too much about how much making the costumes would cost lol.

There would be some characters who could be thrown together with a wig and a little make-up I'm sure.

I LARP some, so I have actually done this before... But I always get so carried away and spend more money on the costumes than I should.

I've actually had this happen to me once and I have to say that having someone cosplay your character is to me the greatest honor you could get. People put a lot of time into the making of the costume, communicating with you to ensure all the final details are as you envisioned them. Ad seeing it all come together in the artistic expression of photography is breathtakingly beautiful.
