95% of the world is normal.
95% of the world lives everyday lives, goes to school, work, eats, sleeps, and repeats the day until they eventually die.
95% of the world is normal.
The other 5% lives in hiding. They are what are called the "Foreigners." The Foreigners are humans who were gifted or born with supernatural abilities. Though, if ever encountered, said person will be locked up and experimented on so that the world can figure out what is really springing their powers. Unfortunately, the only way to figure out where the powers manifest from is to kill the person. What makes it even worse is that that 5% of the world is shunned for being different. They are called monsters, so they have to live their lives in solitude, pretending to be like any other ordinary human. That, or they can hide away forever.
5% of the world is scared for their lives because the same people who raised them since they were young wouldn't hesitate to turn them over for a reward as simple as a bag of money and a gold sticker for their accomplishments.

Lionel High School is as generic as it gets.
You have your jocks, nerds, goths, outcasts, populars, theatre and band kids, artists, and preps. Everyone is slotted in their own category based off of their look, reputation, and attitude. It's a living hell, but nothing ever changes, so it's at least comfortable. In Lionel High School, nothing ever happens. You survive seven hours, go home, and repeat. It's the same schedule until you graduate and are off to college.
That is, until one eventful day.

A bell goes off in the middle of another boring classroom. The siren is unfamiliar - not a fire drill, not a weather warning, not a break in. Students begin to murmur and stand, except nobody knows what to do. As if on cue, a voice over the PA system ring through the now silent building, in distress.
"IT'S ONE OF THEM, ONE OF THEM," She cries out.
By now, classmates begin to grow worried. Still, they remain unvoiced.
"WE FOUND ONE,"

"A FOREIGNER"

Alrighty, I'm looking for some people to join a group roleplay about a bunch of teenagers who have certain types of abilities.

There are two choices your character can go through after realizing that a Foreigner has been found:
A ) Your character attempts to stay under the radar and blends in with the normal students, which hopefully leads to their escape
B ) Your character wants to try and help the Foreigner escape/see who the Foreigner is so secretly follows the police when in the midst of the crowd

In the end, every character will escape, so there's no chance of your character getting captured. They are allowed to accidentally spring their powers, which leads to them being hunted as well, but none of the charas will be taken just yet.

Before all the students leave the school, I want them to acknowledge each other at the least, though once in the clear, find each other and group up. They may either confess that they are a Foreigner as well, after maybe seeing someone's powers spring in a way to comfort them and gain their trust, or they can stay quiet about their abilities, it's up to you.

Not every single student will find each other automatically, since everyone will obviously go in different directions, but a few of them can ally with each other and in the end form a group and survive. After everyone is together, the hunt for the Foreigners begins.

Since I didn't go over it too much, Foreigners have powers that range from elementals to bending light and sound waves. Basically anything along those lines, but of course, nothing too overpowering like "EVERY SINGLE POWER KNOWN TO MANKIND," y'know. Miles has the ability to communicate and raise the dead, for example.
To keep things diverse, I'm looking for these specific kinds of characters that fits one of these personality types:

TAKEN - The shy, quiet kid
TAKEN - The extroverted, loud kid
TAKEN - The indifferent, monotoned one
TAKEN - The sarcastic outlier
TAKEN - Mom friend™ (just the one that watches out for everyone and makes sure they're all safe)
TAKEN - The class clown
TAKEN - The bubbly optimist
TAKEN - The pessimistic downgrader
TAKEN - The ditzy one (there's one in every group)

Please ask if you can have one of the slots so that I can mark it down as taken, along with if your character will be choosing option A or B in the high school, their chosen power, and high school year (freshman, sophomore, etc). Miles here is gonna be playing the Foreigner that was found out, but he'll end up escaping, of course, just with some help, or without. Romance can grow during the roleplay, but as long as it doesn't distract anyone from the plot. Please be at least semi-literate (two paragraphs or more is preferred). Thank you for reading, and I hope to find some people interested in this.
Magic 80%
Magic is common.
Technology 50%
Modern
Combat 50%
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.

Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.

This sounds really cool. I'd like to join as the Mom friend™, if that's okay with you.

Yup, gotcha. What year is she in, and is she going option A or B?

Oof, realized I was forgetting something. So sorry! She would be in junior year, and with option B.

It's no problem. And got it, thanks.
This looks like something right up my alley!
I'd like to join as the pessimistic downgrader (B/Senior) if that is possible.

I am in the making of a new Character as we speak. (This one)
Hollyfrost

I'd like to join... I gotta make a character... but I could be the shy quiet one. For an ability, maybe talking to animals? Option A... and my school has grades, not years, so I dunno what they all mean... sorry

Basically, the grades in highschool go like this:

9th grade: Freshman

10th: Sophmore

11th: Junior

12th: Senior
Hollyfrost

Ah, so Freshman then. Thanks.

Oooh... permission to RP..? I haven't made a character, but I can really easily.

Can't decide between the sarcastic outsider or the monotone person. Also, I'm leaning heavily towards B. I'mma senior, plz...

You got to admit, my grammar's the best, right?
Fianna Turner (played by Thatman)

I'd love to join this rp, I guess my character would best fit the indifferent monotoned archetype. Group B because she is somewhat forced to and a senior.

I’d love to join this if you’d have me. I would like to join as the extroverted kid and I would be a junior just to change things up. With Kyra, there’s no question she would go with option B (she’s impulsive as heck). She has void magic (basically darkness but a parallel universe. Can explain more if you’d like), making her, yes, very powerful but it’s very draining on her. Basically she can only use her magic for short periods before passing out. If there’s anything else you’d like to know just PM me!
