If you want to play but all your characters are fantasy/scifi, you can just play a normal-human-AU-version of your character instead of making a whole new character.

I’m going to add the starter post at the end here, and if you're interested you can just PM with a response. (Dont worry if someone got to it first, I’ll play the same starter post more than once.). Ok here we go:

Age:13

In a shitty alley in a shitty part of Brooklyn, there was a rusted door with too much graffiti on it. If one stood next to the door and listened very hard they might hear a low rumble; a pulsating bass. If one knocked on the door, odds were good they wouldn't be let in. It was the kind of place where one had to know somebody.

The door opened, just barely at first. The thunderously loud sound of electronica spilled into the alley, as did Daren. He looked around, disoriented by the sunlight. It was morning, and the sky was a blinding shade of pale blue. "Damn, how long was I..?" He clung to the wall as he edged his way toward the street. About halfway there he doubled over to throw-up, then moved on as though that were totally normal.

He pulled up the hood of his sweater and shivered as he looked up and down the street. He knew Brooklyn like the back of his hand, but right this second he was having trouble orienting himself. "Shit," he muttered, and checked his pockets. "Nuthin'. That's great. That's ****in' perfect.”

Daren suppressed the cold stab of panic that lurched in his stomach. He stood at the corner and willed himself not to freak out. Most of this feeling was just withdrawal, he told himself. He could get home and fix that problem. It would be fine. But why couldn’t he remember what happened? Daren’s head was so thick with pain that he couldn’t even remember coming here in the first place. Did he have nothing on his person because he arrived empty handed, or was he robbed? Did somebody dose him? Is that why his head was stuffed full of goddamn hornets? Is that why there was a gaping hole in his memory?

Daren closed his eyes and forced himself to stop thinking. He was nauseous already, he didn’t need to think about what happens to a person when they get drugged at a club. So, even though the light shot pain through his head, Daren looked up in an attempt to recognize a street sign or landmark that he could use to get home.

So.....my character is a elf is that ok?

Just gotta say, it really gives me a chuckle when people make it clear they're not looking for a certain something, and the first comment they get is asking about that thing.
