If you won art instead of money -

I'm going to take a moment to recognize that you may have one art in a style you don't favor. Before any of the contributing artists are contacted, feel free to consider if you want to trade with anyone. No one is required to trade what they won. But if you and someone else agree you like the other's prize better, that's totally okay. Just let me know (both of you) so I can swap it around.


I'll probably send PMs to winners later/tomorrow to make sure y'all know you won. Right now, I need to head for bed.

I'd be interested in doing this again some time, but I can't reliably contribute monies. At the same time, we actually didn't get enough entries to hand out all the prizes we had!

In the future, do you think you'd be interested in participating, either as an entrant or a contributor?

If you're interested in contributing money, do you have a suggestion on how to run the pool? I used the money pool feature on Paypal this time around, but I'm not satisfied with the level of privacy. Others could choose to share their real name or be completely anonymous, and I had no choice in sharing my name. (That's why I made people request the link.)

If something kept you from entering this time around, what was it? Is there a way you might feel more encouraged to enter in the future?

I don't mind contributing again, although I'm not sure if I'd be able to consistently provide three busts.

Perhaps there needs to be a longer period of time for people to enter their requests in as well - so perhaps a month or so. o:

This was super generous of you Nova and everyone else involved, thank you all for doing this!

I might be able to donate some money in the future (Maybe November? I'll be getting a job around then so), but that's dependant on somethings. But I'll try to put away at least thirty bucks for it (which'll get translated to like, 21 usd or something) if all goes good!

I've been keeping my eye on this ever since this actually came out- if I went to join when I saw it, it'd be around... What, twenty minutes after you posted? I didn't join in because, well, I'll be able to buy myself art soon enough and I thought that it'd be best to let others get their own stuff instead (turns out it wouldn't have mattered if I joined or not, there's still stuff left over!!).

Oh boy, this was certainly something warming to come back to. :'D

As for feedback, I do agree with Zet about timing and all that. o: A longer window would be nice for those that might not know about it right away.

The only reason I have to actually enter is because I'd like something nice for people that are close to me, that's it. Especially people in my life that do so much but don't really get a lot in return. Like, I'm typically social enough to talk to others and engage in certain communities that partake in a lot of art trading events and stuff of the like, so I'm not really concerned about myself when it comes to receiving art.

As for a next time: I do hope that I can contribute next time rather than being an entrant. With medical stuff being at the forefront of my mind, I'm looking at a broken wallet and ill-timing for motivation to want to offer up anything artistic from my end. So next time that this happens, I hope that I can contribute maybe anywhere between $50 ~ $100. If not and I'm feeling artistically inclined, maybe I can offer up one full body or two half bodies.

That said, this is really such an awesome idea and very warming to see something so generous for the community at large. I'm all for this, and I hope to see more like this in the future -- and if not by you, then by other community members that love RPR and the community.

I was wondering if I should contribute art, but I wasn't entirely sure that my art would go to somebody who wanted it. For example, somebody might be looking for a cute art style, or somebody that specialises in anthros and my style wouldn't be a great prize for them.

You might be able to have people list artists who have donated their skills in their entries. For example:
My first choice is artist x 30$
I also want to be considered for _______(donated artist(s))

If possible, you might be able to approach on-site artists ahead of time so you have an established list to provide entrants.

Should I reach out to Heimdall and say I got a color bust sketch? I'm so excited!!!

Feedback? Hmm...maybe give a bit longer to enter and have willing 'thread helpers' (those who offer to help, I'd be willing if I'm available!) be chosen to get the word out in some way? (Oh gods, I've been playing too much chicken smoothie again...thread helper? ...the dialogue from that site is sticking with me!!)

I agree with that, I mostly use bases that are anthro in nature and are typically 'barbie-doll nude' since I'm still learning how to make clothing.

that said, I will happily contribute in the future, be it more custom slots or money if I get a job!

Hmmm... Feedback? Let's see.... I would also have to concur with what Claine wrote about adding an option to ask for a particular contributing artist if they didn't get money. Or maybe a small list of three artists that they like from the list if there's multiple. I'd also like to see a longer time frame myself to give others a shot. It's a shame more didn't join, this was an amazing thing to do for RPR!

Overall, I may not be able to contribute art often, but I adore this idea and the concept behind it so much that I'm more than willing to toss a few bucks into the pool if it happens again. But if I do have the time to draw again, you'll definitely hear from me!

Thank you for hosting this giveaway Nova and everyone else who chipped in something. My only input is that maybe starting this on the first of October every year until Halloween might be a good plan. It'd give a whole year to gather funds and the month would allow for more people to see it.
