Britt Harcrow (played anonymously)

I’m hoping to start some sci-fi roleplays with my lovely space engineer/hacker, Britt! I’m really down for just about anything sci-fi flavored, and adding in romance or fantasy elements is totally cool with me. However, I am strictly a paragraphs required type of rper, so if that's not your style, we're not gonna mesh, sorry.

Below are a few plot ideas we could follow, but if Britt catches your fancy, I can place them in just about any sci-fi scenario you desire!

PM me if you’re interested, I look forward to it :D

A Small Matter of Mistaken Identity

Here you were, simply minding your own business, waiting on a transport ship on the Glandor Station, and now all of a sudden you’re being grabbed by the hand, dragged along with a person you’ve never seen before as they run from a few Intergalactic Federation Agency authorities.

“I may have attracted some heat between Oerbon and here, but I swear everything’s gonna go just as planned once these damned officers are off our tail,” they say, nearly wrenching your arm out of socket as they race down the halls, making sharp turns and playing with some sort of device with their free hand. They tug you through an employee door, press you into a broom closet, and shove their hand over your mouth. You listen, heart racing, as sound of the officers’ running passes by the door and fades into the distance.

They take their hand back, breathing a sigh of relief, Relaxing, they send a quick message to somebody else you also don’t know, “Scrap, yeah, we’re secure. Where’s the closest exit you can meet us…? Got it. Be there in a few.” This stranger then ends their quick call and turns to face you before stiffening.

“Ah, shit, I got the wrong person, didn’t I?”

Crash Landing
Crashing into an inhospitable hellscape of a planet without managing to explode is in fact considered a landing, thank you very much.

So, everything was going according to plan. You were piloting your ship as usual, right on course – a few days ahead of schedule, actually. You had some extra muscle aboard for this trip because this quadrant is notorious for space piracy, and you are either transporting goods much too valuable to lose or just really need to get somewhere without trouble. The mercenary and their robot companion are… weird, admittedly, but they’re doing their job, and that’s all that matters.

And then the ship’s warning systems come online a split second too late to warn you of an oncoming asteroid belt. The ship is hit, an engine goes offline, and suddenly you’re plummeting through space on a crash course to the closest thing with a decent gravity pull before you can say “buckle up.”

You come to sometime later with a splitting headache, groggily glance around to find the ship managed to make it to the ground. In one piece? Maybe not, but you haven’t died. You push yourself to your feet, work against the tilt of the ship – you must have landed on some sort of incline – and call out to see who else made it.

There’s a shout coming from outside. You don an oxygen helmet and stumble outside. The entire ship is smoking, crashed into a forest and teetering over the edge of a cliffface. Only a few sturdy trees stand between the ship and the fall. Your stomach turns, and you look to the source of the shouting.

It’s the mercenary, kneeled over the chassis of their robotic companion, shouting curses as they examine it. The battery pack burst in the crash, and the bot is still.

You take a step forward. The mercenary snaps their head toward you and speaks matter-of-factly, “The crash destroyed the galley, so we only have enough rations for about a week. The reserve power will keep temperature control-systems and the oxygen filters online for two weeks at most.”

You murmur, “We’re ahead of schedule by a week. They won’t send out a search party for a fortnight at least.”

Well… shit.

STATUS CRITICAL
HULL INTEGRITY AT THIRTY-FIVE PERCENT. STRUCTURAL COLLAPSE IMMINENT.

The Galactic Federation really did a number on it during your escape; no matter what you do now, you can’t save the ship. Regrettably, you must follow the instructions of the AI. You quickly pull on a stabilization pack and enable your oxygen helmet, hurrying to an escape pod and initiating the detachment protocol.

The pod has only just begun to travel toward the nearest station when the ship explodes, the shockwave hurtling you off course with enough force to knock you out against a wall of the pod.

You come to hours later, crashed into the surface of a trash planet. Well… this probably isn’t the best place to be right now, not as a wanted criminal.

Hopefully there’s someone around that you can convince to help you… or a spare ship you could steal.

Stowaway!
The sensors in the cargo hold have been going nuts the past few days, indicating movement, but every time you went to go check it out, nothing was out of place. This time, you enter the cargo hold expecting to see nothing. Someone is standing with their back to you, rifling through the cargo.

They’re not one of your crew. You’ve never seen them before, and that combustion rifle on their back looks ancient and well-used. You’re so focused on them that you neglect to check the rest of the room, and the door slides shut behind you.
Suddenly, there’s a metal hand pressing over your mouth, cyan lights in the corner of your vision as an android grabs you and holds you still. It’s only then does the other figure turn around, face pale.

“Ah, shit. Y’know, I was really hoping you guys would dock again before you found me.”

Who the hell is this kid? Why are they here?

A little bit of this, a little of that…

Work with me, and we can make our own!
Magic 30%
Some magic. Few can use it, but most of the players probably won't have it. Magical characters will likely believe that they are all alone.
Technology 90%
Far future, perhaps interstellar travel (faster than light)
Combat 50%
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
