A gentle breeze. One that cools the air slowly. A forest sparkling with raindrops. Sounds of many wildlife fill the air as well as the sound rushing water. An innocent land, neither darkness or war seems to have touched it. A home to many creatures, Light and Dark alike. As the sun sets, the forest grows dark. The creatures and wind seem to still. The forest is silent until a single sound rings out. A howl, one between a demonic roar and a howl. On the tallest peak of the hill in the direct center of the forest, stands a wolf. Fur as white as freshly fallen snow and eyes as blue as the dark waters of an ocean. A protector, a healer, a fighter and a friend. A temper as gentle as a caring mother but as old as time itself.
Tonight was one of those nights. Gaia was sitting, observing the forest. It had been her home for years. But she yearned to travel, to see the world beyond the gentle innocence of this place. She wished to see how the world has changed, to see if the wars had stopped. Her mother, aunts and sister left this world to inhabit another but Gaia stayed. She wished to be in her human form, walking beneath the trees but she dare not change. She was uncertain who exactly would see her. She didn't want to be mistrusted just because of what she was.

"Well what is it?" the annoying man asked him for the the thirteenth time. He was a scholar, book reader, and loved to see different things. And since the last war things had changed not only in one place but everywhere and he was ready to discover these occurrences. However, it was really hard to concentrate with this annoying companion.
Arashi listened carefully to the night's songs again for the sound that had rang out throughout the forest. "Wolf." he simply said. Or was it? It did seem a little off, like a mix of a lion and the wolf. It must be because of his tiredness or his annoyance with the man.
"Wolf?! You mean those savage beast live here still?" The man's eyes became wide with fear and swore the next morning he was returning home. Arashi said a silent thank you to who ever ruled this universe for that small but well welcomed blessing. He rolled over and blew out the candle that lit the tent, the fire was now nothing but smolders outside the thin shelter.

Gaia blinked as she sensed something. Humans were in the forest, something that didn't happen often. She leaped from her spot, landing gently upon the ground. She turned into a smaller size, just looking like a normal wolf. She approached thier camp silently, hiding behind a bush. Her curiousity had gotten the best of her.
"Did you hear that?" The panicked man scrambled and tossed in the night. Arashi was growing irritable by the second. "No." he simply replied, thinking better of it. "What if it is a bear?" He chattered noisily. "Or maybe a cougar." He squeaked. "Or it could be-"
"-Shut your yap, would you?" Arashi snapped at him. This had already been a long enough day without it continuing into the night. He just couldn't take much more. "Fine." The man tried to sound brave, but Arashi could still feel the man moving and turning, hearing him mumble to himself. Finally Arashi had enough and walked out of the tent. He left his glasses where they sat inside the tent.
The man stretched. "What a beautiful place. If only I could enjoy it without the babbling of the idiot." He sighed and rubbed his eyes. Now sitting down on the rotted log they had built the fire next to. Running a hand through his hair and prodding the charcoals, he wandered how he was ever going to explore without the help of the skittish guide.

Gaia's head tilted as she watched the man. He seemed irritated. She shifted slightly, wincing when she stepped on a stck. Gaia took a few steps back, trying to stay quiet and not frighten them.
His human ears, barely caught the sound, but it didn't alarm him immediately like it should have. Only tiredness had crept into his system and he started to nod off by the fire. Nearly falling off completely several times and waking up to put his head back in his hand. Finally however, sleep won and his body found away to keep it steady and balanced.
Gaia blinked. She took a few more steps back, wincing as her paws landed on more sticks. She stopped walking and hid behind a tree. She was close enough to see the camp but far enough they wouldn't see the gentle glow of her white fur.
Arashi heard one of them break and shifted to his body so it would wake and see what was causing the sounds to happen. Just he didn't see a thing. Perhaps it was that fool using the bathroom. "Chuck?" he called out. no reply however..
Gaia froze. She wasn't expecting the male to wake. She peeked out from behind her hiding spot before hiding again. Her ears twitched, listening to see if he came closer.
When there was no answer he scratched the back of his head confused. "Crazy fool." he shook his head. It was sure a cold night out tonight, the chill got to him and he had just realized that his breath was visible now. He needed to go back inside the tent. But there was something keeping him from doing so.
Gaia watched him, not noticing she had disturbed a snake. It slithered up behind her and bit her hindpaw, making her let out a wolfy yelp. She stepped on the snake, killing it before looking at her injured paw.
"Hello?" He heard something that was in pain and that was all he knew as he stepped towards the sound."Are you okay? I can help. Please, hello?" he called out again. Why was he out here talking to himself in the dark. He could be just imagining all of this or could be half asleep thinking that he was really speaking to someone or something.
Gaia took a step back and let out a whimper, pain shooting through her foot. She layed down, her ears flattening against her head. She couldn't move much so might as well let him see her.
Everything was so blurry, without his glasses which were sitting in the tent. "I'm sorry. I need my glasses, can you wait?" He rushed back into the tent and grabbed them, not putting them on until he was back outside again. As he got closer to the white blur he fixed his glasses on his head.
"....Holy-!!!" He backed up really quick. He shouldn't have told that man that there were wolves, for had jinxed himself and now there was one here. Right now. He had read up on wolves and sometimes it was best to stay low to the ground. But now he understood why most lost all reason, they were too scared to think straight.

Gaia noticed he was scared. She put her head on the ground, trying to show that she wasn't going to hurt him. She whimpered again when her paw twitched. She was shaking from the pain slightly. Her blue watched him carefully, hoping he wouldn't hurt her.
It didn't even growl at him, maybe...
He got closer to the wolf and noticed the injury. Arashi groaned to himself. "Will...will you let me help you?" He said as he got even more closer to a possible death. This could very well mean that he wouldn't return back home. Not that there was really anything of importance there. He just liked to sit at the libraries most of the time.

Gaia reached and nudged his hand softly, wincing when she moved her leg. She wasn't going to hurt him since she had no interest in kiiling humans. She watched him with her blue eyes. She nodded at his question.
A full grown Tiger casually walked on to the scene. He was sniffing, although paying the human and wolf no mind for the moment. It would be foolhardy to assume he was not aware of them. He finally sniffed his way to the wolf, eyeing her in curiosity and then the human. After tense moments of his sniffing, he circled a few feet from them and laid down, facing them.
He saw the tiger when it laid there. Forgetting the moment of danger his curious mind wandered why such a creature would be in the same area.
Gaia tensed, ignoring the pain in her paw. She watched the tiger carefully, the fur on her back rising.
