This Looking For RP topic is marked as closed, meaning it is no longer seeking new players.
I want to start at least one and maybe up to three RPs that are just really simple, basic hurt/comfort/fluff type of RPs that are for one purpose only: just for the characters to exchange physical affection, words of affirmation, and fluffy scenes involving kind acts of services (making food, bringing flowers, braiding hair, giving a manicure/pedicure, giving a massage, taking on a date, taking to a scenic place, etc). But the main focus would just be giving and receiving physical affection.
Because I am craving something that I don't have to think about too much or plan much but that give me that oxytocin buzz that I get from writing sweet physical affection and fluff scenes.
Starter:
Gabrielle entered the coffeeshop in the Dining Hall on her college campus and ordered a White Chocolate Mocha. She had a headache and caffeine would help.
The brown-eyed girl across the counter from her smiled generously, noticing Gabrielle's tired disposition and bloodshot eyes.
"How are you doing today?" the barista asked as she rang up the order.
"Miserable," Gabrielle admitted. "I got very little sleep, I have a sinus headache, and I have to go to work like this. I'm hoping the coffee will help. But let's be honest, it's not going to be enough. My morning is going to suck."
Then Gabrielle looked at the barista sympathetically and shot her a half-smile.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to unload on you," Gabrielle said, softly, sighing.
The girl had long, medium-brown hair that was hanging behind her in a long braid, a green cap that went with her green apron, milky-white skin, odd blue lipstick, and large brown eyes. She had three piercings in her left ear, all with studs.
She stared at Gabrielle thoughtfully, nodding as she spoke. She looked into Gabrielle's blue eyes, a small smile graced her blue lips.
"Would a hug help?" the girl asked, cocking a half-smile and shrugging.
Gabrielle returned her smile and raised an eyebrow, rather surprised.
"Well...yes?" Gabrielle said.
She came around the counter, grabbing the coffee from her coworker.
"Over here," she said with a jerk of her head and lead her away from the line towards the corner of the room. The barista set Gabrielle's coffee down at a booth.
"Come here," the girl said, opening her arms, gesturing with a wave of her hand for Gabrielle to come to her. Gabrielle did, wrapping her arms around the skinny barista and feeling the girl's arms enclose her in a tender embrace. Gabrielle rested her head on the barista's shoulder, closed her eyes, and felt her breathing slow and her body relax in the girl's arms. They stood like that for what seemed like a long time, the barista squeezing Gabrielle a little tighter when the natural moment for the hug to end came, to let her know she didn't have to let go; the hug wasn't over yet. After a good solid 5 minutes of this the barista finally pulled away, looked up at Gabrielle, and smiled.
"Do you feel better?" she asked, smiling. Gabrielle smiled back at the mysterious girl.
"Yes. I do. I mean I still have the headache. But I think maybe...it's gonna get better."
The girl smiled widely.
"Yeah. It will get better." She leaned forward and kissed Gabrielle on the cheek, as if such an act was no big deal. Then she took out a piece of paper and scrawled her number down.
"I'm Kendra, by the way," Kendra said, putting the slip of paper down next to Gabrielle's coffee. "I have to get back to work, but feel free to call me sometime." She looked Gabrielle up and down quickly, then, biting her lip and smiling, turned and walked away.
Gabrielle's eyebrows shot up. She pocketed the number, planning to call it later.
Okay, this morning definitely is not going to suck. At. All. Gabrielle thought as she sat down, leaned back and drank her coffee.
So your character can take the place of the barista in the story (more of the comforter), or take the place of Gabrielle in the story (the character that receives comfort), or anything in between.
Or I'm open to any similar suggestions for settings or plots.
Responses would be 3-5 paragraphs, but I'm flexible with this genre. It can be shorter. It can be romance, or just straight hurt/comfort or friendship. It can be F x F (preferred) but I'm okay with M x F if the M x F is straight hurt comfort (no romance). Or, if I play the guy. I just can't get my head into a MxF romance where I play the girl, who is dating a guy, since I'm not attracted to guys that way. So that's why it's hard to do those, but I can do it if it's hurt/comfort only.
If you're interested, please send me a PM.
Thank you.
