Rievari is a harsh language, Ideoan had once mused after their return. The name is deceptively gentle, but it grates compared to Itlesh. Is that... They had hesitated, but their characteristic fidgeting wings had continued their movement. The question was near silent, and yet Mondo had heard it perfectly. He sometimes wishes he hadn't. Is it wrong for me to think that? Mondo had told them, Yes. He sometimes wishes he hadn't.
I'm looking for (a) partner(s) for a self-indulgent post-modern fantasy roleplay. Mondo is one of fourteen Itleit characters -- a sort of Eldritch species which can be described similarly to the more visceral descriptions of angels (specifically Isaiah and Ezekiel), although the species is mostly beyond description. Vaguely Dragonoid, vaguely Angelic, vaguely Eldritch, and utterly unique.
Basic setting: The Itleit and the Reiven races are two very similar races, hailing from sister planets said to be created by the twin goddesses Teqva and Indall. They first existed peacefully, but tensions began to rise between beliefs of what was and was not proper form. This ritual went this way, that celebration went that way, we created this invention first, etcetera. It began to heat more and more as both species fought for support from their allies. Then, one simple act broke the fragile peace and unleashed war. A foreign academic, well respected among both races, was killed via suspicious circumstances en route to an already tense council. Each side blamed the other, and it blew into a full-scale war. Each side tried to suppress the other and force them into their personal mould for what they believed to be the true way.
This is where Mondo comes in. Mondo of house Galira is an Itleit from an expansive family. He and thirteen of his family members -- Diadora, Ponds, Deidara, Vivian, Ideoan, Ganon, Otsoko, Rex, Philippa, Errol, Fynn, Kashgar, and Persephone (their "world-names", or names that may be given to strangers) -- became more and more torn apart as Mondo, along with a select few others, began to side with the Reiven.
Currently, the war has been over for but fifty years, little more than a season in the eyes of these great creatures. Mondo has long since seen the error in his choice and the effects of his young folly. Not having communicated with his family since the war, he lives in a large on a city-planet far from the bloody memories, but may, one day, attempt to reconnect with his clan. For now, though, he is too afraid of their response to him.
Your character(s): I'm not picky. I'm just hoping for someone with a character who is willing to get to know Mondo and accompany him on his journey forward. It could turn to romance, it could turn to more familial feelings, or it could simply be two beings keeping company until it is time to split again. I don't care about species, age, gender, etc., because I find it very interesting to stumble through interactions with wildly different characters and cultures. I'm not looking for a set number of players, but I'd prefer a maximum of four other characters.
Style: This will be somewhat dark, dealing with gruesome memories of war, the propaganda and social views that lead to the war, and mentions of cultural suppression, erasure, and forced conformity. I'm also experimenting with heavy religious overtones (not necessarily real-life religions). There will be mentions and references to and of death. Of course, there will be some humour, but this is an overall "heavier" roleplay.
I'm looking for 2-3 paragraphs minimum, complete sentences, proper grammar, and spelling. I have a very distinct writing style and I love to see other styles, but the aforementioned requirements will be expected for most replies.

Magic is common.
Far future, perhaps interstellar travel (generation ships)
Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.
Details: Freeform, paragraphs required, long-term RP partner preferred.
