A server is based around the era the Marauders go to school, the late 1960s, early 1970s. (1973, currently.) Harry hasn't been born yet, Voldemort is still at large, and the wizarding war is still very dominated by prejudices. Hogwarts has basically split down the middle: relations between the houses are splintered, and judgment runs deep. You can RP as canon characters or create your own.
For reference about where we are in the timeline:
- The Marauders have just finished the Animagus process.
- Black has yet to send Snape to the whomping willow to see the werewolf
- The fight that ruined Snape and Lily’s friendship hasn’t happened yet
Though things aren’t fully fractured yet, they inch ever closer - people are choosing sides, and it’s not wise to get caught in the middle.
