Well, some of you (who already know me) may be aware that I really like the apocalypse genre or really just the thriller genre of RP. But, I haven't done anything like this before so here I am, hoping someone will be interested ^^

So basically, this RP would be about an alien invasion in our modern world. The setting will be just your daily life, nothing wrong, until a meteor strike gets everyone all around the globe talking and speculating. Then not much later, there's another meteor, maybe more, and eventually a shower of them. However this time, it's clear that all the meteors explode at exactly the same height from sea level. This is when scientists start speculating and investigating further, and eventually all hell will break loose.

I want this to be a sort of battle RP in a sense that our characters will fight, not just run and hide as in a zombie apocalypse. They'll fight, but they'll have a really hard time doing so. After all, they're fighting unknown enemies using unknown weaponry, so they don't really know what to do. I guess some supernatural powers are allowed, or something that makes your character different from every human, but don't overdo it. Characters with powers who can easily outmatch the aliens' power are too heavy and therefor not allowed.

I'm not quite sure which character to choose for this myself yet, but I'll probably use one I haven't played before like Revanna D'Islar (yes, she can be played on modern setting as explained on her profile) or the siblings Kelly and Quinn. The powers these two sets of characters have aren't overpowering, so any of your characters who are in the same category (so to speak) are definately allowed.

This sounds really interesting; the whole 'meteor bombardment as large-scale kinetic weapons from an alien invasion' thing sounds quite similar to Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle's Footfall in which an invasion by an aggressive race of elephant-like aliens is fought primarily through them hurling asteroids at Earth; small ones to destroy military-industrial complexes and transport links and a very large one called the 'Foot' smashed into the Indian Ocean to cause immense damage, tidal waves and such, not only to soften human resistance but also to terraform the planet to make it wetter and more humid.

I'm not sure if you've read the book, or if it's such a standard sci-fi weapon to drop asteroids on planets, but it sounds really fun.

I've not got any characters that are directly suited to this, I don't think, and I've got no slots free to make more, that said I do have two or three Human characters I could tweak to fit the setting; Wren Tain, my space fighter pilot, would easily be shifted to being an airforce pilot for instance.

^.^ This seems interesting! It's defiantly different then running away from zombies like we usually do in other RPs ; 3 ;. I have a character, Isabelle Brown, that might be suited for this type of RP. I don't know. I haven't used her yet and I really wanna, So why not start in a alien invasion RP?

Four people, that'll be perfect! ^^ Terel, I haven't heard of that book, sorry x_x I kinda made that up on the spot :p I'm gonna use Revanna, probably. She's got the more 'protector of the earth' aura, whilst Kelly and Quinn only look out for themselves.

Well I'll choose who I play later once I know how many males or females are in this rp. Sorry, I like to keep it an even number of males and female characters.
